Benjamin Chiri, Associate Principal, Mounds View High School

Ben is a proud member of the Mounds View community, with three children of his own in the school district and a passion for bringing people together After 13 years as a Biology teacher in Minneapolis, Ben started as a school administrator at Highview Middle School and is now in his third year at Mounds View High School. Ben works closely with the Math, Science, and Career & Tech Ed Departments and is the lead on building operations In his free time, Ben enjoys reading, mountain biking, yard work, and exploring places with his family

Gretchen Zahn, Associate Principal, Mounds View High School

Gretchen has been part of the Mounds View District for the past 25 years She started as a physical education and health teacher at Mounds View High School, moved to the district office in the curriculum and instruction department and is now in her second year as Associate Principal. Gretchen works closely with English, Social Studies, Fine Arts, Physical Education and Health and is the lead on student registration and scheduling. In her free time, Gretchen enjoys spending time with her family, waterskiing, and finding time to be outside

Matt Scardigli, Administrative Intern, Mounds View High School

Matt is a highly skilled and passionate educator. He began his career with Mounds View Schools in 2012 as a math teacher at Irondale High School During his time at Irondale, Matt built positive relationships with students as both a teacher and a coach While in his first year at Mounds View as the Admin Intern, Matt works directly with students to promote consistent attendance, has helped to implement the new digital hall pass system, and implementing increased structures to ReFLECT days. Matt lives in Ham Lake with his wife Christina and their sons Rocco and Enzo In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family at the cabin, watching Twins games, and tending to his garden in the summer.
