A Mountain Christmas Trail of Lights Returns!

This is one year that we all need a lot more cheer!

The Mitchell County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the 3rd annual A Mountain Christmas Trail of Lights this year and is inviting everyone to come and enjoy a Merry Mountain Christmas. The event will kick off on November 27th, with events in both Spruce Pine and Bakersville, NC Spruce Pine's Christmas parade will be held the Saturday after Thanksgiving and wrap up a day of shopping on Small Business Saturday. Throughout the month of December, there will be events every weekend. The popular Journey to the Manger returns this year and is being extended to two weekends. The Journey to the Manger takes place in Bakersville NC and is a outdoor dramatization with visitors traveling through the Bethlehem market to arrive at the manger complete with live camels, sheep, donkeys and more.

More holiday fun will include breakfast with Santa, drive in holiday movies, concerts, horse and carriage rides, shopping with local artists and downtown shopping events in both Spruce Pine and Bakersville. Of course this is the place to come to pick out your perfect Christmas tree! Visit local choose and cut Christmas tree farms and enjoy hot chocolate and hayrides.
