Another question to ask yourself–Do I want to get to the bottom of this issue, or just treat the symptoms indefinitely? Many drugs are designed to just treat symptoms. And many practitioners are trained to only treat symptoms. They study for years symptoms

Some things to consider if you want to pursue a natural approach to healing–enough sleep (-8 hours a night), clean foods (fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds), exercise (moving your body keeps things on the inside moving and operating) , getting enough sunshine, enough clean water to flush out fats and toxic waste ( it has been suggested by health experts to drink 1/2 ounce for every pound of body weight–and this includes herbal teas). These vital changes along with herbs can transform your body and your mind. So before you dismiss herbs as your best option for health and reach for the prescription bottle, consider herbs as they were meant to be used. Herbs made into an infusion (tea) is the fastest and most effective

way to get the benefits of herbs. However, you can only drink so much tea in a day, so there are herbal extracts, powders to add to smoothies or capsules to supplement your herbal needs. Many are very inexpensive and convenient. Some are free for the taking if you know what grows wild in your yard or the field behind the house. Remember, the Creator designed herbs to meet the needs of our amazing bodies, and He put them all over the planet for everyone every where to be able to be healthy. He spoke herbs into existence (Genesis 1:11-12) and told us that this was to be eaten…”to you it shall be for meat” (Gen 2:29) When Jesus came to earth did He set up a desk and charge $50.00 an hour to heal people? No, He went to every town and city healing all that were brought to Him. The Bible says that when He returns the next time, He will make a new heaven and a new earth, and in the city where He dwells, …” a tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” (Revelation 22:2) Do you think He wants you to live a life of suffering and disease? He said, I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10) No, He wants to heal every part of you–body, soul, and spirit. That is the balance I am talking about. That is why GLOW Herbals Herb & Tea Shop exists. If I can be of any help in any of these areas stop in or give me a call.

ELIZABETHTON , TN

So many people that come into the herb shop to browse start out by saying, “I’ve tried herbs but I don’t feel like they work. I don’t feel any difference after a few days.” If this is you, I challenge you to ask yourself…How long have I had this illness, or disorder? Many herbs take months to really treat a problem— sometimes as long to correct as it took to get the issue in the first place. We are so conditioned to want instant results when we are ailing. This is why it is so tempting to reach for the drug. We feel the relief within 20 minutes to an hour. But we also are left with side effects that often damage our precious organs, such as the liver.

and medicine that makes it feel better. Most health providers nowadays are specialists– they only know one area of expertise. They have little or no training on diet and nutrition, and absolutely none on herbs and their benefits. They know the latest drug but they are not experts on how drugs interact with each other, and therefore your side effects are compounded with many drugs and your condition often worsens. Herbs and other natural remedies and therapies on the other hand, can get to the underlying problem of imbalance, congestion, toxicity and treat your issue for good if you follow a natural diet and protocol.

Spring has officially sprung in East Tennessee and Dogwood Arts is celebrating with a full slate of events for the entire community. In the month of April, Knoxville’s springtime beauty will be on full display throughout the now thirteen Dogwood Trails that wind through neighborhoods in all four quadrants of the city. Over 85 miles of pink lines welcome visitors from across the country to enjoy the dogwoods in bloom. The Dogwood Arts Trails & Gardens program expanded this year with the addition of the first new Dogwood Trail in more than 20 years––in the beautiful West Hills neighborhood. Spectacular private gardens will open to the public for one weekend only, April 9th & 10th, during Dogwood’s Spring Featured Gardens event.

The Dogwood Arts Festival returns to its permanent home in World’s Fair Park April 22-24th. Don’t miss 100+ fine art vendors, live music, food trucks, and entertainment for the entire family at this celebrated springtime tradition. The fun doesn’t stop in April! Dogwood Arts’ newest music festival, Southern Skies, will debut in World’s Fair Park on Saturday, May 14th. The festival is curated by hometown favorites The Dirty Guv’nahs, and will feature Grammy-award-winning headliner Blues Traveler, The Dirty Guv’nahs, Maggie Rose, Daniel Donato, The New Respects,

Electric Darling, Tennessee Power & Light, and Willa Mae. The one-day event will feature six musical acts across two stages, food trucks, craft beer, wine, specialty cocktails, a Maker Market, and more. Since 1955, Dogwood Arts has hosted Knoxville’s favorite springtime celebration.

What started as a neighborhood beautification project has blossomed into a year-round celebration of our region’s art, culture, and natural beauty. Follow Dogwood Arts on Facebook or visit dogwoodarts.com to discover more about the events, performances, and exhibits featured this season.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn.- The University of Tennessee Gardens, Knoxville is excited to announce that the 2022 UTG Summer Camp registration is open. A long-standing summer staple for many families in the surrounding community, summer

camp at the UT Gardens is an opportunity for young learners to explore the gardens, experience the joy of summer, and exemplify what it means to be engaged in the natural world.

With eight themed camps, there is certainly something for all interests. Themes include Garden Discovery when campers will spend time learning first-hand about the wonders of the wetland and Theater in the Garden, which combines garden fun with the joys of performance art. Of course, it wouldn’t be garden camp if we didn’t offer fun gardening experiences in each camp, and we guarantee that each child will bring home at least one plant each week. If your young learner is a plant enthusiast, though, we do have Plant Camp, which is all about the amazing world of plants and their roles in the ecosystem. Summer camp at the UT Gardens is primarily for children between the ages of six and ten. Most camps last an entire week, Monday through Friday, and are scheduled to be

in-person from 8:30am-3:30pm each day. Camp participants will practice personal responsibility and accountability as well as ways to be a friend, a scientist, and an explorer. Ultimately, they will be encouraged to be the best version of themselves because we are confident that your child will grow in the garden.

Tom is married to prolific artist J Austin Jennings. She runs Little River’s sister company, Red Dog Master Prints. Jennings and her son, Ben O’Niell, work diligently to offer the highest quality giclée prints on canvas of the Little River Artists’ original work.

Little River Art is a fine art production company founded by Knoxville native, Thomas Cover. Tom grew up captivated by the splendor of the lakes and rivers in East Tennessee, including the Little River. After studying fine art at the University of Tennessee, Tom began a long and successful career in the furniture industry. Then, in 2004, Tom set out on his own with Little River Art, combining his love of art with his keen insight into home fashion trends to start selling original art from local artists. Now, 18 years later, Little River Art has grown into a family of 7 artists and their support team. Together the Little River family operates a full-service painting studio, frame shop, and art gallery. Tom leads the family in servicing the needs of the most discerning interior designers throughout the Southeastern United States.

In 2009 Michael Cover joined his dad at Little River Art to cut and craft superior moldings that complement a large selection of high-quality art. From the breathtaking landscapes of the Southeast painted masterfully by Aleksandr Cherepov, to the whimsical abstract dreamscapes painted by Mary Ann Taylor, Michael Cover uses his expert eye to elevate each painting with just the right frame. Family is the foundation of Little River Art.

KNOXVILLE, TN

At Little River, Art is a family business

After printing, each giclée is hand finished with a textural coat that seals in the archival inks used by our top-of-the-line large format printer. The finished product is a beautiful artwork finished, framed, and ready to hang. Every step of the way, our family of artists check for quality and fidelity to the original. We believe the creation and collection of high-quality art is an integral feature of the well-appointed home. That means for us the highest possible quality is the only option. Even with all the changes success has brought as an art broker through the years, Tom Cover has never lost his grassroots love of painting the many waterways that surrounded his home in East Tennessee. His often ethereal canvas creations are among the most collected, alongside the paintings of noteworthy artists: J Austin Jennings, Aleksandr Cherepov, and Mary Ann Taylor
