WHAT IS KINDERGARTEN Its primary slogan is to take care of and provide children with love, care, and basic lessons for their future growth & development. Basically, nursery education is for kids between the ages of three and five. If you admit your children to nursery, the kid will have a promising future for you. Advanced learning will be created. Because of the contact with new children and parents, which supports their growth, children are more stimulated at the nursery. Children profit greatly from combining, learning by play and engagement with other kids. They would also have better social ability and be able to take orders from adults because they have already gained faith in them. For example, relational techniques acquired through early play & nursery experiences: taking turns, sharing, developing partnerships, playing well with others & solving problems are all the basis for subsequent interactions with family members, peers, and co-workers. Those early social skills gained at nursery can be fine-tuned, extended, and mastered, but when we are kids, the fundamental building blocks begin to take shape.

KINDERGARTEN TEACHING IMPACTS SUCCESS LATER IN LIFE Early childhood education services provide long-term clinical effects that impact life, which is possibly because health interventions are also packaged alongside educational interventions. Head Start also offers food, support care, parenting care, immunizations, and comprehensive wellness screenings to catch asthma, anaemia, and difficulties with hearing and vision, thought of as a pre-school intervention. It is likely that much of the gains of early childhood education are from health interventions, which is a huge deal because certain aspects of the curriculum are much less costly than the aspects of pre-school. This cannot be the whole story, however, because health initiatives were not used in any school initiative that yielded any success. ( & one researcher was careful enough to even supply their control group with health interventions, andstill found results).

THE INFLUENCE OF SKILLS APPLICABLE TO KINDERGARTEN LEARNING ON ACADEMIC TRAJECTORIES AT THE END OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Latest evidence suggests that children’s learning abilities lead to early school achievement. Latent growth curves showed that learning-related abilities between kindergarten and sixth grade had a unique impact on children’s reading and math scores and expected growth in reading and math between kindergarten and second grade. This difference continued between the third and sixth grades but did not widen.

WHAT & WHY The project is about a kindergarten where the child can discover himself & create a strong heart, where the children could grow and improve by play — the best way to learn. It is time for children to extend their enjoyment of learning, create skills, improve their abilities to get along with others, & discover opportunities to reach out to the world. The primary role of kindergarten is to take care of children and provide them with attention, care and basic lessons for their future growth & development. This goal was based on the vision of the founder Mr. Maged Samara, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Samara Group, a unique climate that sets higher standards in the education sector. Samara is leading the efforts to realize its vision. It is our promise to grow and grow ambitious and dedicated boys and girls, men and women, who after graduation will maintain their cultural identity and become powerful intellectuals, to be role models in today’s and tomorrow’s global world. Individuals remain fully committed to the pursuit of perfection and do everything in our power to ensure that we deliver the best performing in academia in an atmosphere that promotes the traditional principles and culture that defines our beliefs.

Contant 1.2 Suggested Program Design 1.2.1 Interviews . Owner . Manager . Designers . Interviews Conclusion

PROJECT OWNER Majid Samara Syrian 55 years Entrepreneur and real estate investor Master of Business Administration Mr. Majid Samara loves investing, especially if it is in education or in something that benefits humanity, and for his love for children, he invested in this nursery to make it one of the best nurseries in our time.

PROJECT OWNER What is your vision about your project & where do you see your project in 5 years? We acknowledge that all members of our community including children, families and teachers have rights and all interactions should include respect. Trust underpins all positive relationships and is an integral part of the relationships that are fostered at Campus Kindergarten. The notion of compassion is an enabling word that helps us understand, show empathy and transform. All of these values working together provide a rich environment for nurturing strong relationships and friendships, which are the cornerstone of quality early childhood education.

What is the importance of your project, what does it add to the society? Our kindergarten provides children with an opportunity to learn and practice basic social, emotional, problem-solving and study skills that they will use throughout their studies. The development of self-esteem is one of the important goals of our kindergarten.

How important prime school is and how does it affect child’s future? Kindergarten develops positive self-esteem, develops a spirit of cooperation and participation in children, and they can rely on themselves as well, and how to be more polite and kind.

PROJECT MANAGER

What do you do for the school to keep it developed according to the changes the community is facing in this era? Taking into consideration the circumstances that the community is facing as a manager I would take caution and pay attention to the procedures and instructions to keep the children away from getting infected by keeping the school clean all the time and provide the most appropriate health support with the help of a trained nurse and teachers.

In your opinion what is the most important part to take in consideration during designing to kids? In my opinion the most important part taking into consideration that as future interior designers while designing to kids is that we need to create for them an environment that will entertain them and will teach them the things that will help them.

Designer 1

From your experience what is the main goal in designing such educational projects? The goal is to make design objective as the goal of the educational project, by systematically demonstrating the development and delivery of digital and physical products in a consistent and reliable manner, in order to acquire knowledge efficiently, effectively and in an attractive, fun and inspiring way.

What do you find the most challenging about designing education project? The biggest challenge for me when designing any educational project is to achieve a balance between teaching content and the environment and design surrounding the learner, because meeting the needs of the learner from the curriculum is the same amount with respect to the surrounding environment.

What type of problems have you faced in your previous projects & how did you solve them? Apparently, each project has different facets, working with infants and children, and keeping that detail into account is a real challenge.

What specific type element/ material do you recommend for a kindergarten project? Colorful, soft, environmentally friendly materials.

What is your advice? Try to make peace prevail in the place that you will design, make it soft, has a pleasant smell similar to nature, increase the color in it, your project is not an easy project, focus on it and be careful, because it is the beginning of building this child’s future.

Designer 2

From your experience what is the main goal in designing such educational projects? The aim of this work is to build design strategic by regularly and accurately demonstrating systematically the production and distribution of digital and physical goods so as to obtain information in an accessible, productive and attractive, enjoyable and stimulating manner.

What do you find the most challenging about designing education project? Education projects require specific measures especially when dealing with kids who are in kindergarten and you have to take into consideration that dealing with kids requires you to pay attention to all of the details ranging from equipment and tools to furniture and so on .

What type of problems have you faced in your previous projects & how did you solve them? Basically each project has different aspects and dealing with kids and children and taking into consideration every single detail is the real challenge.

What specific type element/ material do you recommend for a kindergarten project? Using soft materials and anti slipping that are suitable to be around children, such as rubber , cushioned pvc -anti fatigue and also sound absorber foam tiles or a mat for playing area .

What is your advice? Using attractive elements to attract the kids and keep them safe and comfortable . Using engaging and educational elements to enhance them to learn in fun way such as using a modular on the wall to be a tool for counting.

Designer 3

From your experience what is the main goal in designing such educational projects? Education programs are being established to encourage public protection and the advancement of environmental and science awareness. Careful exposure to the conception and execution of an academic initiative can be reflected in the results of the learner. Learning priorities should direct the design process. The challenge—whether it’s remodeling furniture or designing a full school renovation—is to create these improvements in a manner that goes beyond aesthetics and ultimately results in an atmosphere that sparks interest. What do you find the most challenging about designing education project? Often a school’s need, paired with some out-of-the-box creativity by educators, blends to create an authentic project for students. Education plays a vital role in educating young people for the world of complex problems, the ability to innovate, and critical thought. What type of problems have you faced in your previous projects & how did you solve them? Custom furnishings & furniture’s can be a problem because of its size and finishing needs to align other finishes from various companies. What specific type element/ material do you recommend for a kindergarten project? Secure, receptive and breastfeeding environments are an important factor in encouraging adolescents, babies and pre-schoolers to learn and thrive. The term physical space refers to the general configuration and architecture of a single classroom and its centres. Minimize wide open areas in which children are permitted to work. Have ample materials in the centres, in order not to allow children to fight with them. What is your advice? small details are the most important thing to take in consideration. Its all about the details that can make a real difference throughout the project.

Interview Conclusion •The most important thing to take in consideration is by letting the child discover himself & create a strong personality. •Children could grow and improve by play — the best way to learn. •Time for children to extend their enjoyment of learning, create skills, improve their abilities to get along with others, & discover opportunities to reach out to the world. •The primary role of kindergarten is to take care of children and provide them with attention, care, and basic lessons for their future growth & development. •Focusing on Colourful, soft, environmentally friendly materials. •Using engaging and educational elements to enhance them to learn in fun way such as using a modular on the wall to be a tool for counting.

Case Study 1: Shenzhen King’s Kindergarten SHENZHEN, CHINA

Interior Designers: Groundwork Architects & Associates

Area: 5000 m²

Year: 2020

Photographs: Arch-Exist, Tianpei Zeng

Lead Architect: Manfred Yuen, CY Lau, Fiona Bao Landscape Design: Groundwork Architects & Associates Ltd. Structural Design: Cube Design From the end of 2016 to 2018, Groundwork has been commissioned by the Architectural Services Department of Hong Kong to research and produce a design guideline on the future planning of children’s public playground facilities in Hong Kong. Within these 18 months of study, we have not only carried out on-site research and analysis on existing successful examples of local and international playgrounds but also hosted participatory design sessions and used strategic questions to obtain various user experiences and suggestions on playground design through interviews.

A kindergarten is a place where a person initially joins a social environment and becomes a member of society. It is the place where children begin to learn to get along with one another, learn about discipline, etiquette, build a collective consciousness, and develop their sense of self-awareness.

Children naturally loves nature. The existing kindergarten building encircles half of a park, allowing ample sunlight to reach into the building. The park design focuses on the use of natural timber and concrete instead of synthetic colourful materials as the main material source, allowing nature to extend into the building’s interior, thus creating an organized yet comfortable learning environment. This type of spatial atmosphere not only enables children to enrich their spiritual well-being but also helps them to gain a sense of respect for nature and the school environment.

For the kindergarten’s interior, we envision the public corridor as the threshold between the external park and the internal school environment. This corridor is the key social and play space for children between classes. Rather than it being a simple straight circulation corridor, its curved and angled form enables children to explore this space as another social arena.

The use of light and shadows through different times of the day enables a space to have multiple depths and can act as a plaything for children. Other than introducing natural sunlight into the internal space, we also use various materials such as reflective bronze and stainless steel surfaces in the external space, to play out an ever-changing and interesting effect that can help to maximize children’s imagination and their perception of space.

Other than providing a disciplined learning environment for children, we shall not forget that a kindergarten shall consider children’s desire to play. As the kindergarten building footprint is limited, our design intent is to maximize the ground-level natural play space by extending the external playground into the interior. The idea of the playground is therefore ever-changing. Children’s favorite elements such as slides, sand pit, climbing ropes, small hills, and the curved and angled wall all contribute to complete the ground floor of the school as a play space. In addition, small cut-out circular windows along the curved wall help children to envision themselves as being within a large ship and explores the corridor following the curved pattern on the floor.

In the design of the space, the school focuses on being a “home away from home” and learning, and the designers incorporate graphic elements related to home and city. On the mezzanine, a large house-shaped showcase will display seasonal displays that relate to the curriculum. House-shaped cut-outs in the walls provide reading nooks and passages through space in child-sized form. Color is used throughout the room for dramatic impact. Under a bright blue sky, turquoise on the ceiling and light globes give the sense of being. Orange is used in the walls’ cutouts and in the room’s accent elements. Orange-lined stairs lead down into the space for parent-co-working.From a technological point of view, the whole building is designed as a wooden frame.

• I n t e r i o r Desi g n er s: PAL D esi g n •A r ea : 7 6 8 m. sq • Y ea r : 2 0 1 7 NUBO, as the Cloud ‘s sense implies, has infinite capacity to foster learning, explore, and boundless creativity as an incentive-inclusive play centre. Children are respected, but still encouraged, while parents are encouraged to communicate and interact with them. Its main areas satiate children’s curiosity and demonstrate the idea of ‘pure play’ to develop and build and facilities that are built carefully and flexibly for children between 2 and 8 years of age. In line with its different learning phases, children learn to safely explore and explore the whole room, overall design takes a minimalist approach to eliminate unnecessary equipment and furnishings-just enough to invent games. In turn NUBO has a number of places and events for ‘pure play’ including a large children’s library; the Big Blue Block, MagFormers, Lego Wedo 2.0 and Kaleido Garniture, a cafe where children can prepare several healthy dishes; and a playground with sliding, jumping and hiding opportunities.

Cases study conclusion: • An environment that encourages kids to use the best of their childhood should be provided. • In their development, playing games has a key role and can be their work. • For the development of cooperation among children, wall colours and ceiling height may be used. • The spatial design of furniture impacts the actions of children. • The essence of the playroom is, therefore, very significant. Since the components, equipment and efficiency of a room often influence the standard of the game.

Contents III. Part Three: Project Specification Data 3.1 Selection Criteria of Interior Design Components 3.3.1 Selection Criteria 3.3.2 Selection Options

3.2 Interior Environmental System 3.2.1 Interior Environmental Conditions 3.3.2 Interior Structural Needs

3.1 Selection Criteria of Interior Design Components 3.3.1 Selection Criteria The main goal of this project is to emphasize on the importance between the relation of parents and children and the significance of creating an interactive, fun, relaxing and more visually appealing kindergartens. As a result, various materials and objects are being used and implemented to achieve such goal. To be specific, materials such as lightning, floor, walls, and ceilings play a critical role in creating the perfect harmony within the place to create the perfect environment for children to be themselves and unleash their full potential. To begin with, one of the most important aspects to create a visually appealing and relaxing environment is lightning. To elaborate, different lightning is designed for different purposes and goals. Relaxing and dull lighting is created for sleeping areas. While on the other side, bright lightning is used in areas where children are more physically active. In addition, the lighting type and material will be detrimental to unleashing children creativity and imaginary levels since it will affect their eyesight and brain cells. But this will not be achieved without the perfect lightning position. To specify, different positions for the light will have different effects on the children and their behavior. For instance, a soft light on the corner or the side of rooms will significantly reduce children anxiety and help them overcome their darkness fear. Moreover, to achieve maximum efficiency, safety and quality, the use of different lightning techniques is crucial. For example, the use of adjustable rails, pendants, hanging lamps and LED light. Lastly but not least, the importance of dimmers cannot be ignored due to several reason. Firstly, it controls the amount of outgoing light that may affect children behavior or mood. Secondly, dimmers help to use lightning efficiently and with maximum lifetime. Thirdly, using dimmers will help to protect using children vision and make the room very relaxing to look at or incredibly fun to be in. After deciding lighting, floor types are essential to complement and complete the atmosphere required in specific places. When choosing the floor, the material should be comfortable, easy to clean, and most importantly to reflect and compliment the mood of each area. For instance, the perfect material for such facility is the Eclipse Acoustic. to illustrate, this type of flooring is perfect for noise reduction and comfort creating. Its high safety levels and low cost of maintenance is a huge attraction when it comes to learning facilities. Some of its specifications are that it comes with sound reduction up to 17dB. Such floor is used to encourage children release their energy and make them relaxed afterwards. To achieve the goals mentioned above, walls are crucial to be chosen correctly. To be specific, walls such as Protect WALL 1.5 B-s2 is the most suitable in this situation. To elaborate, this wall material Is perfect due to its characteristics that absorbs impacts and shocks to increase safety levels. It is also perfect for its ability to absorb chemicals and the ability for it to resist scratches and stains. In addition, it is super easy and convenient to install and fix if anything happens. Top Clean XP surface protection is applied on this wall to ensure the ease of cleaning and strong resistance against chemicals. Also, it is completely phthalate free which greatly decreases the number of allergies, diseases, asthma, and many other risks. To complete the vision of the interior taking advantage of the ceiling as it is the reflection of the flooring, by selecting the best material to reflects the view of the room and complements its appearance. Using a plane wall to show the lighting features more and keep it simple as possible, but the lighting method will showoff the simple beauty of the ceiling.

3.2 Interior Environmental System 3.2.1 Interior Environmental Conditions The human comfort zone has unique temperature, breathing, and humidity limitations above which any physical and psychological discomfort can exist.

Ventilating & Air Conditioning In most climates, ventilation & air conditioning of building interior spaces are important to provide occupants with environmental and healthy comfort. The buildings VAC system controls the following aspects of the interior environment: •Surrounding air temperature •Mean radiant temperature of the surrounding surface •Relative humidity of the air •Air movement •Air quality or purity

V e n t i la t in g Ventilation requires air ventilation inside building spaces and the exchange of air to the outside. Moving air through the interiors can help preserve uniform temperatures and be paired with other forms of air stimulation, such as controls for humidity and flirting.

The three types of operational ventilation: (A) longitudinal ventilation by central extraction; (B) smoke extraction and intermediate ceiling ventilation; and (C) ventilation with jet fans.

Air C o n d i t ion in g Ventilation requires air ventilation inside building spaces and the exchange of air to the outside. Moving air through the interiors can help preserve uniform temperatures and be paired with other forms of air stimulation, such as controls for humidity and flirting. A central air conditioner is either a bundled unit or a split-system unit. An outdoor metal cabinet includes the condenser and compressor in a split-system central air conditioner, and the evaporator is in an indoor cabinet. This indoor cabinet often houses a furnace or the indoor component of a heat pump with certain split-system air conditioners. In the cabinet or main supply duct of this furnace or heat pump, the air conditioner’s evaporator coil is fitted. The most affordable central air conditioner to build is a split-system if your house already has a furnace but no air conditioner.

Typical HVAC System Components That Deliver Conditioned Air to a Building or Space to Maintain Thermal Comfort and Indoor Air Quality

N a t u r a l lig h tin g Over the past decade, energy conservation has been rising in importance and continues to be a vital part of sustainability. According to the ‘Photoelectric Control: The Efficacy of Techniques to Minimize Switching Frequency’ studies (2001) and’ Summertime Efficiency of an Automated Lighting and Blinds Control System’ studies, daylight sensing controls can reduce the energy used in buildings by up to 60 percent (2002). Significant financial and human-performance gains have been correlated with increased sunshine, along with happier employees. “LRC researchers discussed anecdotal evidence that commercial real estate without windows leases for about 20 percent less per square foot less than window spaces, in 2003’s “The Advantages of Daylight Through Windows.

3.2 Interior Environmental System 3.3.2 Interior Structural Needs

I m p act o f g l ass f acad es on build in g’s in ter ior As a result, the energy required to cool the interior atmosphere of these buildings is very high resulting in strain on the overall energy supply and the appearance of blocks of glass that do not value the country’s architectural identity. Most Glass façade designs are based on longterm average wind pressure data; however, it is also possible to use the gust factor to explain short-duration random wind gusts. Visual comfort is a state in which human eyes obtain a sufficient amount of light without attempting to imagine certain activities that are closely linked to the levels of lighting within the room, either artificial or natural light sources. S o lu t io n- D o u b l e S k i n F a c a d e The double-skin façade is a construction system consisting of two skins, or façades, mounted in a manner that allows air to pass into the middle cavity. For the cavity, the ventilation can be natural, fan-supported or mechanical. Furthermore, double-skin facades are adaptable to colder and warmer weather conditions. It is this flexibility that makes them so interesting: the action of the façade is modified by small changes, such as opening or closing the inlet or outlet fins or triggering air circulators. Overall, double-skin façades rely heavily on external factors that directly affect internal comfort and the quality of life of the consumer (solar radiation, external temperature, etc.). For each case, therefore, careful design is important, requiring thorough knowledge of solar orientation, context, local radiation, temperature levels, occupancy of buildings, and much more.
