TheatreOpeners provides unrivalled access to top London theatre for secondary school pupils for just £7 a ticket. Each production is offered with:

Teacher’s Education Resource Pack Question and Answer Session with members of the cast and/or creative team

INSIGHT SESSIONS

I These 90-minute sessions take place before the matinee performances.

Designed as participatory masterclasses, Insight sessions are facilitated by key members of the company and creative team (such as the director, writer and stage manager) and offer a first-hand insight into the creative choices made in staging a theatre production.

A modern re-telling of the traditional Arabian Nights stories. Shahrazad – a young girl torn between her old home in the East and her new life in London - retells the extraordinary stories of her childhood to her new-found friend, who understands not a single word she says… Using the things she finds around her, she fashions saucepans into crowns, old pipes into enchanted telescopes and a mop into a magic carpet to transport us to a fantastical and imagined world of kings, viziers and jinns. Romeo and Juliet English National Ballet Royal Albert Hall

Derek Deane’s epic production, drenched in passion and tragedy with Prokofiev’s evocative score at its heart, has been universally acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. From the cobbles of Lancashire, bombastic boot-shop owner Henry Horatio Hobson takes umbrage to his daughter’s intention to marry long-suffering bootmaker Willie Mossop. Through her determination, they wed, set up a rival establishment and orchestrate Hobson’s fall from grace. We offer innovative theatre access, education and audience development programmes to stimulate and inspire young people.

HOW TO BOOK

• If anyone in your group has any access requirements, please state clearly on the application form. • Tickets are strictly limited, so we cannot guarantee your application will be successful. Priority will be given to schools new to Mousetrap Theatre Projects and those with a higher percentage of students on free school meals. • Schools may only attend one production, although you may rank as many choices as you wish. Following the application deadline, we will confirm whether or not your school has been successful. • Your tickets will then be booked and an invoice issued. Please do not apply for tickets you cannot use.
