The MoVE Project at the African Centre for Migration & Society (ACMS) has worked in collaboration with the Sisonke Sex Worker Movement since 2010 on a series of arts-based projects, including Stitching our [HIV] Stories: Activist Quilts by Sisonke Sex Workers. First displayed at the 21st International AIDS Conference in Durban, South Africa in July 2016, the four quilts represent the experiences of sex work and HIV in South Africa since 2000. Held at the Yeoville Community Center in inner city Johannesburg, the two-day project involved three MoVE collaborators and ten Sisonke members.
