SOFTNESS AND STRENGTH Our cashmere, originating from the fine insulating hair found beneath a goat’s fleece, has always been synonymous with a luxurious investment piece. It is lightweight and soft, warm in winter yet cool in spring, and when treated with care, it improves and softens beautifully with age. The cashmere used by Movers & Cashmere is collected annually in spring from goats living in Inner Mongolia, just at the moment when they’re naturally losing their winter coats. The highest quality cashmere is known as ‘Grade AA’, the longest, finest and thinnest fibres from the neck and underbelly of the goat. It is with this that Movers & Cashmere has created its 100% cashmere collection.

OUR CASHMERE Movers & Cashmere is a collection of supremely crafted 100-percent cashmere pieces of uncompromising quality, using only the highest standard of cashmere sourced from happy goats living in Inner Mongolia. The precious fibres come from the underfleece of these extraordinary animals. In order to survive in extreme habitats, the goats have developed the softest and finest fibres in their underfleece; the longer, finer and thinner the fibres, the more precious. Once a year in Spring, when the weather is milder and the goats are losing their winter hair, the fibres are collected with a delicate combing procedure that make sure only cashmere hair is removed and the goats are keeping their regular hair for a lighter summer time. We select our production partners carefully, ensuring our happy goats are never harmed in the process. Each goat provides only about 100 grams of cashmere, enough to make about a third of a sweater, it is a finite resource, which is why cashmere is so precious as it’s all in the fibre. Movers & Cashmere only use the best and the finest cashmere.

Specialist Dry Clean or Cool Gentle Hand-wash.
Neatly fold your cashmere in a drawer or a shelf away from direct heat and sunlight.
Pilling & Creases.
Hand wash at a cool temperature with your professional cashmere shampoo (never use softeners or chlorine bleach), mix well and soak, rinse well, then gently press the water out of your cashmere.
Warm reminder not to hang your cashmere as it will misshape the garment.
Remember that cashmere is a natural fibre.
To Dry, place your cashmere on top of a towel, rolling it up to remove excess water (repeat several times if necessary), lay flat in its natural shape to dry, away from heat sources and sunlight.
Store clean Cashmere in breathable zip-up bags together with cedarwood blocks or lavender sachets.
Pilling is natural over time, even the finest of all will pill, we keep pilling at bay by laying the cashmere flat and gently combing the surface with special cashmere de-pill combs. To remove creases, we like to steam our cashmere.

SERIES IV: THE ESSENCE Movers & Cashmere launches its fourth series, those design philosophy embodies the concept of The Essence of Things. Clothes pared back to their essence with reduced forms, natural materials, and a neutral, harmonious palette along side subtle autumn & winter hues and pops of blue. The ode to quietude is created by the collection’s exquisite timeless designs that leans towards aesthetics of simplicity, sensitive and thoughtful minimalism and comfort inspired by architecture, art, sculptures, shapes and objects. From clean silhouettes, delicately elevated sleeves, considered high necks, soft yet structured trouser lines, double-faced fabrications, punctuated and detailed aniline trims, the elegantly grown-up collection compliments the true essence of the modern woman who define these pieces. Appreciated beyond time and seasons, they are the essence of things transcended from the essence of their owner. The collection has a big emphasis on seasonless double-faced cashmere outerwear. A continuation of the collaboration with Sørensen Leather, the collection introduces pieces with a clever manipulation of natural materials, combining the best of both worlds, Cashmere and Leather, crafted with impeccably soft and sumptuous world-class Inner Mongolian cashmere, subtly detailed with luxurious nappa leather.
