Having already saved the Chinese Premier from international assassins and prevented a corrupt French entrepreneur from claiming the throne, Johnny is called out of retirement yet again, this time to help unearth a mysterious cyberhacker intent on revealing the identities of undercover MI7 agents all over the world.
Anyone who’s witnessed his previous adventures, however, can expect English to do so in only the most catastrophic way possible, with Rowan Atkinson’s skill for physical comedy once again remaining centre stage. Thankfully, the man for all seasons won’t be alone when tackling this latest disastrous plot. Joining the fun this time around is Quantum Of Solace bond girl Olga Kurylenko, Emma Thompson as the British PM, and Ben Miller, who makes his long-awaited return as Johnny’s alltoo-faithful assistant, Bough. After all, Johnny will need all the help he can get! It’s been a whopping seven years since Johnny English Reborn, so the new hijinks and mishaps this secret agent sequel promises are long overdue.

Follow the rise, fall, and reinvention of one of history’s most revered musical icons as Bohemian Rhapsody reveals the turbulent journey to Live Aid for Freddie Mercury and Queen. WORDS BRODY ROSSITER
RELEASE DATE 24 OCTOBER / Directors Dexter Fletcher, Bryan Singer / Starring Rami Malek, Lucy Boynton, Aiden Gillen / Genre Biography, Drama, Music
S
tarring Rami Malek as fabled frontman Freddie Mercury, Bohemian Rhapsody is a silver screen celebration of Queen, their cherished music, and the man who grabbed the spotlight. Chronicling the tumultuous years leading up to Queen's legendary appearance at the Live Aid concert in 1985, the biopic details the band's monumental rise from obscurity to one of the most iconic musical acts of all time. Focusing upon Mercury’s deep personal struggles and the growing conflict within the band, Bohemian Rhapsody is a thrilling yet emotional journey. Witness his introduction to the band and the influence of his unique and experimental artistry, his troubled pursuit of a solo career, and his diagnosis with AIDS shortly before the biggest performance of his life. Trace Queen's steps from darkened, smoke-filled clubs to the world stage as classic rock was transformed into foot-stomping anthems that echoed around the vast surroundings of Wembley Stadium. Through a startling, transformative performance, Malek looks set to channel a legend while revealing how he defied stereotypes and shattered conventions to produce music alongside his bandmates that will never be forgotten.
ROCK LEGENDS
RAMI MALEK PERFORMING AS ✷ FREDDIE MERCURY ✷ ✷ JOHN DEACON ✷
Known for his role as Tim in Jurassic Park, Joseph Mazzello portrays Queen’s bassist. Deacon wasn’t only an integral part of the backbone of their unique sound, but an electronics engineer and the inventor of the Deacy Amp.
✷ ROGER TAYLOR ✷
X-Men’s Ben Hardy takes a seat behind the drumkit to portray one of rock’s greatest drummers. Taylor also composed and sang on several Queen songs, and in 1999 controversially became the first living person beyond a member of the Royal Family to appear on a Royal Mail stamp.
✷ BRIAN MAY ✷
Gwilym Lee portrays Queen’s lead guitarist, the man responsible for some of rock’s most iconic riffs, many of which were played on a guitar he built alongside his father. The neck was constructed from a near-hundred-year-old piece of wood from a fireplace mantel.

BACK IN BLACK
Deadly Venom A raging, complex antihero, Venom is Peter Parker’s antithesis. His comic debut was in 1988 - and since then he has leapfrogged Green Goblin and Doc Ock to become Spiderman’s archnemesis. But fan adulation for this powerful, alien villain is a double-edged sword, as witnessed a decade ago.
Tom Hardy merges with an alien symbiote in the darkest superhero franchise yet. Fuelled by unbridled rage and power beyond measure, Venom must battle an even darker enemy lurking in the shadows.

n a New York that’s both dark and threatening, rage and violence are the true currency for survival. No web-slinger here, Peter Parker isn’t hero enough for this world. The Life Foundation, run by enigmatic philanthropist Dr Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed), discovers the “symbiotes” - black goo of alien origin - and merges it with human subjects believing it to be the future of human evolution. Journalist Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is investigating the Life Foundation’s shadier practices. Sneaking into a laboratory, he comes into contact with the substance. Pursued by security forces, on instinct he unleashes his new powers - near infinite strength, regeneration, and shapeshifting his body into tentacle-like weapons. Now on the run, Brock and Venom battle for control as they’re being hunted, not just by humans but other symbiotes, with increasingly deranged psychosis and unbridled volatility.” A symbiosis of Batman’s grittier aesthetic and Deadpool’s adult content, this world is built from scratch, a world superhero fans have been crying out for - and Venom is the anti-hero it deserves.

veryone’s favourite horrorcentric cinematic universe expands once again this September, this time to reveal the grizzly origins of Valak, the terrifying nun we first met in 2016’s sequel to The Conjuring. Set in 1952 Romania, the tale unfolds when the death of a young nun in the Cârța Monastery leads three servants of the Vatican to investigate the mystery.

year’s horror hit IT, and its upcoming second chapter, The Nun promises to deliver all the shocks, jumps, and scares fans of the franchise have come to expect, albeit with a much more gothic tone. Bonnie Aarons reprises her role as the titular nun, with relatively unknown actors Demián Bichir, Jonas Bloquet, and Taissa Farmiga (sister of The Conjuring’s Vera) hoping to stay alive while fending off the creature during their stay at the isolated monastery. Cult horror auteur and The Conjuring series’ puppet master James Wan has stated his hopes for a sequel, so don’t be surprised if you see Valak creeping around the corner again soon.

(THE CONJURING, ANNABELLE TRILOGY)
While the possessed doll cliché might not be anything new, Annabelle has proven so unsettlingly scary she’s spawned her own trilogy of spin-off films. Based on real-life investigations of the Warrens, she returns to cinemas next year.
The Crooked Man (THE CONJURING 2)
Though only briefly glimpsed during the climax of The Conjuring 2, many were left traumatised after witnessing the crooked man’s toothy grin and bowler hat. An early movie centred on him is in development, set to be a “dark fairytale”.

I
t’s been eleven years since Transformers first smashed onto cinema screens. Since then, our world has been the chosen battleground for five cinematic standoffs between the heroic Autobots and the villainous Decepticons. Now the focus falls on fan favourite Bumblebee in this new eighties-set endeavour. Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld), a girl on the edge of eighteen, is struggling to find purpose after a loss. In search of the sense of freedom most teens long
for, she finds a car in a scrap yard and starts fixing it up but gets much more than she bargained for in the process. Conflict quickly arrives in the form of John Cena’s Agent Burns, a villainous anti-Autobot military man, as well as the growing danger from the vicious Decepticons who threaten Bumblebee’s very existence on our planet. Following his successful animation Kubo And The Two Strings, Travis Knight steps up to direct and carves a new route as the global scale mayhem is traded in for an intimate and smaller exploration of the bond between man and machine. Still, with Autobots and Decepticons back trading blows, you better buckle up for a bumpy, thrilling, and emotional ride.
BUG BUMBLEBEE 101 Far from being the strongest Autobot, Bumblebee is immensely brave and lucky. Here are some facts about the loveable bug.
EIGHT FORMS Since his first appearance in the original cartoon, Bumblebee has taken a variety of different (trans)forms. The two most iconic are VW Beetle and the Chevrolet Camaro.
MR RELIABLE Although Optimus Prime is well known to be the Autobots leader, Bumblebee has often been made the leader in his unexpected absence. Proving he can always step up to save the day.
NO VOICE, NO PROBLEM Megatron famously destroyed Bumblebee's voice box, but this doesn’t stop him from being one of the Transformer’s best trash-talkers as he uses remixed radio broadcasts and popular songs to speak.
