In this majestic return to the underwater kingdom of Atlantica, Ariel, the youngest of King Triton’s daughters, longs to leave the ocean and find out what it is to be human. Already fascinated by the world above her, she falls deeply in love with a prince she saves from a shipwreck, but her father has forbidden any mermaid from visiting the surface.
Opportunity arises in the tentacled form of sea witch Ursula, who makes the naïve Ariel an offer she can’t refuse. After trading her beautiful singing voice for the chance to walk among the humans, Ariel discovers the simple spell comes with a catch. Now, she must receive true love’s kiss before time runs out and she’s trapped in the depths forever.
It’s over three decades since Ariel and her friends under the sea splashed onscreen in the animated classic, now in the year we celebrate one-hundred years of Disney, their beloved story comes alive in a visually-stunning live-action reimagining starring Halle Bailey,
Jonah Hauer-King, Javier Bardem, Melissa McCarthy, and more.
The film also features the collaborative forces of multi-awardwinning songwriters Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alan Menken, who bring four new songs and reworkings of well-loved classics to a film that keeps the heart and soul of the original and breathes new life into the cherished tale.
The Little Mermaid herself is played by pop sensation Halle Bailey. Her beauty, boldness, and breathtaking voice make her a pitch-perfect fit.

Fast X
In Cinemas 19 May
Director Louis Leterrier / Starring
Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, Jason Statham, Rita Moreno / Genre Action, Thriller

Just when you thought the Fast & Furious franchise couldn’t get any more ambitious with its car-based action, F9 launched Dominic Toretto’s crew out of this world… literally!
Fast X, however, the first of an epic two-part finale, brings them crashing back to the tarmac where they’ll face their most dangerous threat yet: Jason Momoa’s Dante.
Emerging from the rubble of Fast Five’s mind-blowing bridge battle, the son of drug lord Hernan Reyes is hell bent on getting revenge for his father’s death.
Of course, retconning past events in this way is a well driven track for the Fast & Furious films, but tying Fast X to one of the franchise’s best-loved entries proves there’s still plenty of gas in the tank.
