supervillain supergroup, the Vicious 6. However, their nefarious leader – Taraji P. Henson’s Belle Bottom – has other plans. It’ll take returning Minions Kevin, Stuart, and Bob, an adorable newcomer, and hundreds of others to help Gru with his mission to usurp the Vicious 6, and his new nemesis Belle Bottom. As before, it’s celebrity cameos galore with Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Danny Trejo, and Julie Andrews all voicing characters alongside the familiar, though slightly higher-pitched, tones of franchise mainstay Steve Carell. Seven years after the Minions’ first movie adventure, prepare for yellow tops and denim dungarees to be back in fashion as Illumination Entertainment spreads Minion fever all over the world once more.

When Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Super-man’s best friend Krypto and his League Of Super-Pets step up to save the day! WORDS ROBB SHEPPARD IN CINEMAS 29 JULY
Directors Jared Stern, Sam Levine / Starring Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, John Krasinski, Kate McKinnon / Genre Animation, Action, Comedy With great power comes great responsibility, but it also comes with great treats, too. At least, that’s what the DC League Of Super-Pets hope. With Metropolis under siege and the regular DC heroes inexplicably missing in action, Krypto the Super-Dog is left to save the world alone. That is until a pack of unsuspecting shelter animals – Kevin Hart’s Ace, Vanessa Bayer’s PB, Natasha Lyonne’s Merton, and Diego Luna’s Chip – are unexpectedly endowed with extraordinary superpowers. Together, they set out to save their super-human counterparts. This all-new animated adventure promises an indestructible dog, a

turbo turtle, a two-storey-tall hog, and lightning-shooting squirrel – plus a whole lot of laughs. The rest of the voice cast will make your ears prick up, too! Superhero film fans have longed to see A Quiet Place’s John Krasinski in superhero tights and, having already seen him in a cameo for the MCU, they can now enjoy him as the Man Of Steel. Meanwhile, Keanu Reeves dons the cowl to voice The Dark Knight. Fetch in SNL star Kate McKinnon, Sonic The Hedgehog’s Ben Schwartz, and The Bad Guys’ Marc Maron, and you’ve got an almighty ensemble. Far, far away from DC’s darkness, the Super-Pets promise to put the comic back in comic book movie as they take the lead this summer.
A Rock And A Hart Place Central Intelligence
Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson make their tag team debut as an accountant and CIA agent thrown together on a mission to save the world. The action, comedy, and chemistry is off the charts.
Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw
Hart only pops up for a brief cameo, but seeing him pretend he does leg day and drop his voice an octave to impress The Rock and The Stath is furiously funny.
Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle
After getting sucked into a video game, Hart’s college football star has to get used to his avatar’s diminutive stature, while Johnson’s geek must know his role as the game’s hulking hero. They take their banter and bickering to the next level in the sequel, and are set to buddy up again for a third adventure in Jumanji.

DON’T LOOK UP
Modern horror maestro Jordan Peele scares cinemagoers silly once again with a new nightmare; a summer blockbuster bursting with scares and a side helping of social commentary. WORDS ROBB SHEPPARD IN CINEMAS 12 AUGUST
Director Jordan Peele / Starring Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun / Genre Horror, Mystery, Thriller “What’s a bad miracle?” ponders Daniel Kaluuya’s rancher. Buckle up, cowboy, we’re about to find out! Cards are being played characteristically close to the chest for the latest frightener from writerdirector Jordan Peele, one of the most exciting voices in modern cinema. But half of the fun and fear of his films is in the mystery. The knack of keeping you guessing as the plot unpeels layers of scares and social commentary right up until the uncomfortable and shocking reveal is one of the key factors that made Peele’s Oscar-winning Get Out such a critical and commercial success. While his debut highlights the horrors within society and our institutions and his freaky follow-up Us dances with the devils within, this new nightmare seems otherworldly.
The boiled-down terror of the sunken place is swapped for scares on a massive scale. Something looms overhead, casting ominous shadows over a lonely Californian gulch and its residents, including Kaluuya, who’s joined by relative newcomer Keke Palmer and The Walking Dead and Minari star Steven Yeun. There’s plenty uncanny about this valley, with the shadow seemingly lifting the veil. Whether a “bad miracle” is an act of God, a disaster, or a debacle, make sure you say yes to Nope and see it as soon as you can… before someone spoils the surprise!
MARS ATTACKS! Way funnier than global annihilation should ever be, Tim Burton’s take on fifties sci-fi sees Jack Black eviscerated, President Jack Nicholson frustrated, and Sarah Jessica Parker decapitated… with her head grafted onto a Chihuahua. Ruff.
INDEPENDENCE DAY With famous landmarks being lasered, the redemption of Randy Quaid’s drunken dad, and Will Smith slapping an alien, Roland Emmerich’s sci-fi actioner transcends its guilty pleasure tag and is now a rainy-day staple. Pure popcorn cinema.
E.T. THE EXTRA TERRESTRIAL Rather than blowing things up, the lovable alien has been breaking hearts for forty years. Steven Spielberg’s classic immortalised the phrase “phone home,” flying bicycles, and a deep-seated distrust of men in biohazard suits.

similar aspirations, with the likes of Kick-Ass’ Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Eternals’ Brian Tyree Henry, and Deadpool 2’s Zazie Beetz ready to punch their ticket in more ways than one. Just how intimately these killers are connected remains to be seen, but it seems Pitt’s handler – Maria Beetle, played by Sandra Bullock – knows much more than she’s letting on. What’s more, there’s also murderous intent on board from Joey King, Logan Lerman, Michael Shannon, Hiroyuki Sanada, Andrew Koji, and hip-hop star Bad Bunny. All that’s for certain, Bullet Train will squeeze as much creative choreography and killer dialogue as possible onto one chaotic commute to take audiences on an unforgettable non-stop ride.

Can you help NHS hospital patients watch the latest film releases for free? MediCinema is a UK charity which builds and runs cinemas inside NHS hospitals. Our cinemas give patients the magical escape and power of a big screen movie, helping them to leave the reality of the wards and their medical conditions behind. And they can visit in their beds, wheelchairs and with medical equipment. Emerging from the past two years, many more of us understand what it is like to feel isolated, both at work, home, and away from friends and family. But for hospital patients, it has been really hard. They have been more isolated on the wards than ever before with few or no visits from loved ones. A visit to a MediCinema brings a sense of connection, shared experience, joy, and distraction – just like it does in your local cinema.
To donate and learn more about what we do, please scan the QR code or visit our website.
Lee & Max: We were completely blown away when we walked into the MediCinema for the first time and saw that it was like any other cinema – just with additional spaces for hospital beds! I think it’s sheer madness that there’s a cinema like that within a hospital – it’s brilliant! ”
Tom: I’ve been in and out of hospital receiving physical and mental health treatment Having the MediCinema is something that saved me from the very dark days. To be able to be taken away from the ward and drift into the depths of a film is invaluable. ” Registered Charity No.:1058197 Registered in Scotland No.: SC039704
