The Experience Personally, I have always hated having my picture taken. Funny, I know, that I should end up being a portrait photographer. I find that my own aversion to being photographed helps tremendously in putting my subject at ease. I strive to create a fun relaxed session. Naturally every client wants to know what to expect during a photo shoot. Sessions typically last about two hours. I prefer to shoot in natural light and on location for senior portraits, as I find it the most flattering, however depending on the location and the concept studio lights may be necessary. Once you arrive, we will select the first outfit, usually the one in which you are most comfortable. Each shoot usually involves 3-4 different outfits and settings. I ask that you separate each outfit along with shoes and accessories into individual bags or hangers as this helps shorten time for wardrobe changes. Do not worry about posing, that is part of my job. I will pose you in the most flattering ways and I just ask that you trust me because many times it will feel bit awkward and maybe even silly. My goal is not to just take your picture (anybody with a camera can do that), it is to create the most amazing images of you that I possibly can. Images that capture you! A photo shoot should be fun, relaxed and most importantly when you leave you should feel absolutely like the amazing person you are. The images will be complete about two weeks after your session at which time we will schedule a viewing and purchasing session.
