_ CYCLICAL FLOW
PROJECT ABSTRACT _ Golden Gate Library is a public library designed as an extension of the San Francisco public library system. Located in the very pristine Golden Gate Park, the design called for a highly careful articulation of site. The building explores the concept of cyclical flow or “ring of books” to organize its specific collections. The ring represents the ever-continuous search for knowledge and the cyclical nature of learning. Other programmatic elements are then organized around this ring.

_ GEOMETRICAL PYRAMID
PROJECT ABSTRACT _ The platonic shapes of a cube and a pyramid were utilized in the exploration of this very formal geometric shape. The use of 3D digital modeling software allowed for an in-depth study of the spatial opportunities provided by a merging of the two forms. A physical model followed the digital, bringing the design from the virtual to the real world.

_ SPATIAL IMAGERY
PROJECT ABSTRACT _ The School of The Moving Image is a film school designed to house students and faculty interested in learning about the process of filmmaking. The design is influenced by a zoetrope, a circular device of still images that when spun brings the images to life, and explores the concepts of spatial imagery. The use of angles and perspectives, so crucial to the process of filmmaking as well as architecture is utilized to design the interior spaces as well as the facade system.

_ SOCIAL INTERACTIONS
PROJECT ABSTRACT _ Hybrid Housing is aimed at revitalizing dead end conditions in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco. It utilizes architecture as a means to intervene postindustrial sites located near large infrastructure restoring the spaces and making them suitable for communal housing. This particular project is a prototype for how a multi-unit housing complex can function as a “single home” and explores the concept of social interactions.

PROJECT ABSTRACT _ This project explores the material assembly of wood construction through a small three story residential building. The aim of the project is to design and detail, in drawings and models, the various parts of the facade and structural systems. Special attention is given to material choices and the physical assembly of the individual components.

_ EXPERIENTIAL MOVEMENT
PROJECT ABSTRACT _ This mixed use tower houses an athletic club, two cinemas and a vertical bazaar. It serves as a cultural and social hub for the city of San Francisco; where people from all backgrounds can come share and explore culture. The design explores the concept of experiential movement and is organized around a network of “bazaarlike” spaces. A double diagrid structural system further allows for the very open interior spaces.
