Castaway cups are manufactured in our own facilities right here in Australia. By investing in local manufacturing, we not only support our local economy, but we also reduce transportation to a local level. All our facilities are HACCP certified ensuring strict control of food safety and product quality.
Sustainably sourced paper
Castaway cups are made with paper sourced from certified managed plantation forests. Paper is both renewable and recyclable, contributing to a circular economy where materials can be reused to produce new products.
Water based inks
We only use water-based inks for printing Castaway cups, which are free from harmful toxic chemicals, and are made from naturally occurring substances.
Recyclable
Castaway cups are accepted for recycling by many councils throughout Australia. Made from water-based dispersion coating, the new aqueous coated cups offer a more sustainable to standard coffee cups.
Product innovation
We have developed an aqueous coated cup – making it easier to recover valuable resources that might otherwise end up in landfill. Turn to page 5 for more on our new aqueous coated paper coffee cups.

We have developed an aqueous coated cup – making it easier to recover valuable resources that might otherwise end up in landfill.
Manufactured in Australia in HACCP certified facilities, our new Aqueous Coated Cups offer an environmentally friendly viable alternative to conventional coffee cups. By applying the unique water-based coating to natural carton, these cups can be easily recycled, without the need for designated plastic removal systems.
Castaway Aqueous Coated Cups offer a more sustainable alternative to standard coffee cups, and are part of our ongoing commitment to provide sustainable and innovative packaging solutions for our customers.
Water-based coating
The barrier layer of this cup is a water-based dispersion coating or aqueous coating.
Printed with water-based inks
These cups are printed using high quality water-based inks – preventing the use of hazardous solvent-based inks.
Recyclable
By applying a unique water-based dispersion coating to natural carton board, this cup can be recycled, where facilities exist.
Commercially compostable according to EN 13432*
Castaway Aqueous Coated Cups can be commercially composted and will disintegrate in 180 days under commercial composting conditions.

Our entire range of coffee cups can be custom printed with your brand or imagery. You can start with a short minimum order quantity of 24,000 coffee cups for a short print that will get you in the hands of your customers in 6 weeks only.
Artwork
Our in-house graphic designers can either convert or enter your artwork onto our template for approval. Please ensure that the design is finalised prior to submitting your artwork to us. This means all the elements in your concept such as any text, logos, etc. have all been confirmed. We have an in-house graphic designer who will fit it into our template, however any changes to the design after this has been done may incur extra charges.
Delivery
We deliver to locations Australia-wide. The freight cost and delivery time will be determine once you provide us with your delivery postcode. We deliver in unmarked cartons with no marks identifying our company.
