Altronics Communications, Inc. 13017 Wisteria Dr. Suite 298 Germantown, MD 20874 Phone/Fax 1-888-890-7770 Altronics has earned our trust. They will do everything possible to keep a project moving forward. It's a great company to work with. They listen to your needs and then respond with high-quality services that satisfy them. We have really enjoyed working with Altronics. We knew our site needed a redesign that would match the image we want to project about our company. In print we deliver a sophisticated yet useful and easy to read product and our website was not matching our branding efforts. Altronics' concept will help us to produce an impact in our readers for the benefit of our customers and open new possibilities for us in terms of new services that we can deliver online. They have totally exceded our expectations Juan Vega President Smart Business Ideas Magazine
Coming Out of the Oven... As I write this edition of our newsletter, we are getting ready to release the newly redesigned website for Smart Business Ideas, a Business Magazine that has already become one of the most valuable magazines available to small and notso-small businesses around Washington.
If you subscribe to the magazine during the first month after launching the website, I will send you a voucher for $35 (first year subscription price) that you can apply to the next website
The website, which was completely redeveloped, boasts great and easy to follow navigation, membership registration, member's only sections, archive and search capabilities, a business directory, an event management system including registration, and subscription and advertising management and more. All commercial transactions are processed in real time with the integration with a merchant account provider. At Altronics we always strive to push the envelope with each project we undertake and provide our clients with some “wow factor. So when we surpass ourselves, we can't help it but to toot our own horn. I will let you guys be the judge on this. I would love to hear your comments. What do you like? What don't you like? I will contact you once the new site is up and running so that you can check it our for yourselves and send me your comments. In the meantime, go to www.sbimag.com and review the magazine's existing site so you will be able to compare with what we have created. TechnologyUPDATE Are You Listening? Every week I receive some very cool information from my friend Angie Segal of Action Coach. To tell you the truth, this is one email I really look forward to every week. In a recent one, she included many valuable tips about making a good impression when engaging in conversation with other people.
Introducing
Listening to them when they speak goes a long way in forging a bond. I know we all think we are listening when we are having a conversation, but are you really? Here are some tips for being an effective listener: 1. Pay attention - don't be formulating a response or thinking about what you will say next. 2. Get rid of "I know" - I know shuts down a conversation. 3. Don't use the words "no", "but", or "however" - these are terms of disagreement. 4. Ask intelligent questions that let the other person know you have been paying attention and give them the opportunity to talk more while you listen. 5. Don't be distracted - you should be looking at them, not around the room.
I asked Angie if I could reprint the tips for your benefit, here is what she sent:
She closes the email with "let's all try to be effective listeners instead of impressive speakers" and I couldn't agree more.
One of the keys to great sales, and great leadership, is the quality of the relationships you build with others - prospective clients, co-workers, partners, employees. How do you build these relationships? What if you only have a few minutes to make an impression?
If you would like to receive Angie's email every week, you can sign up at http://www.actioncoach.com/an giesegal/newsletter.php. They normally take about one minute to read and it could turn out to be the best spent minute of your day.

Giving Connections NETWORKING THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE At Altronics we understand the importance of giving back to the community. That is why we will be launching our “Giving Connections - Networking That Makes a Difference” series very soon. Giving Connections is a monthly professional networking event where private sector and nonprofit groups can share what they do and expand their networks. Non-profits will benefit from this networking opportunity by having a place to display literature and information about their organization; meeting with professionals and extend-
ing their network of contacts, and expanding awareness of their mission. Business leaders and professionals will benefit from this opportunity by getting in contact with and promoting their business to a wider network of business people and community leaders and by exploring new partnership opportunities. Altronics will accomplish its philanthropic goals by donating all of the proceeds from the events to the featured organization. The first event is in the works. Stay tuned for details
