Daniel Hale Williams Birth Date: January 18, 1856 Death Date: August 4, 1931 Early Life: ~Born raised in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania ~Went to northeastern university medical school ~Apprenticed to a shoe maker Interesting Facts: ~Founder provident hospital ~Served on the staff of cook county hospital ~Member of Illinois state board of health Daniel hale Williams deserve to be in the black history hall of fame because he was the creator of heart surgery and the first person to successfully perform a heart surgery. He saved millions of lives because of his discovery including to this day many lives was spared because of him. To me he’s the most important person in black history besides Martin Luther King JR. if it wasn’t for him it wouldn’t be the same amount of people in the united states as it is now this is why Daniel Hale Williams deserve to be in the black history hall of fame he is the black history hall of famer.
