W hy sho u ld Mar vin Gaye be in t he b lack his tor y Hall Of Fam e? I think Marvin Gaye should be in the Black History Hall Of Fame because Marvin made a huge contribution to soul music in general and the Motown sound in particular. As one of Motown’s renaissance men, Gaye could do it all. Gaye possessed a classic R&B voice that was edged with grit yet tempered with sweetness. Gaye got awards and honors such as the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, NAACP image award for outstanding male singer, and NAACP Image Award for Outstanding album. Gaye created beautiful art from a troubled life. Gaye’s music reflected so many people in the world.
