Tariq Chavis Muhammad Ali

Early life  He was born in Louisville Kentucky.  He was named after his father Cassius Marcellus Clay.  Ali later changed his name after joining the nation of Islam and subsequently Converted to Sunni Islam in 1975

Interesting facts  Ali refused to fight in the war against Veitnam.  Mohammed Ali won 9 gold medal in the light heavy weight division at the 1960 summer Olympics in Rome.  Ali developed Parkinson’s disease due to the injuries he sustained in his career.

Muhammed Ali should be in the African American hall of fame because he was the greatest African American boxer in all of time. And also he was a huge cultural icon. He was one of the youngest heavy weight champions of all time. These are the main reasons why I think that Mohammed Ali should be in the black hall of fame.
