CONTACT SYSTEM SUSPENSION LINKAGE Commencal asked motorsports suspension designer Oliver Bossard to engineer a linkage system that offers a progressive spring curve and is tuneable for each bike’s intended purpose. For instance, DH models have more progressivity to avoid bottoming on the biggest impacts. The connecting U-link and rocker plates work in conjunction with the single swingarm pivot point to minimize bobbing and kickback and provide a balanced feel front to rear. Overall, you get the sensation of more usable travel for a plush, yet responsive ride.

The Supreme DH and Mini DH’s two “closed” triangles provide maximum reliability and rigidity. Both are linked by a single pivot, which is integrated into a forged aluminum section encasing the bottom bracket. Oversized pivot axle rests on two stainless steel rings (inserted inside the forged section of the front triangle to avoid any risk of ovalizing the frame) mounted on four cartridge bearings. There are no direct threads in the frame (bearing adjustment is done via replaceable stainless steel inserts)
