Donor Cow

In honor of our 100th year celebration of being in the registered Angus business, we wanted to truly showcase the epitome of our cow herd and the standards it holds in terms of raising highly reputable registered purebred angus cattle. These 2 donors we are offering was not an easy decision and I want to make that known. We discussed this potential offering a couple years ago and it has taken that long to finally make it official and actually go through with it. These donors have stood the test of time and have proven themselves over and over and over again how influential they have been to our cow herd and the impact that they have made on our herd but more importantly, the impact they have made on you, our customers herds. They have raised sale highlights, high sellers, productive females who have gone on to raise sale bulls that have went out to make tremendous herd bulls for cattlemen across the region. It’s a snowball effect from the factory themselves. We have flushed these females a few times over the course of 2 years and have banked up a good group of embryos and have successfully calved out some of their offspring in result from the flushes. Some of which are showcasing this exact sale. I have always gone by the saying, “ they make stock every day” whether its cows or sheep, but the true, most realm of reality to that statement, it is always hard to let go of the ones that take potential years to produce and ones that are so dang hard to make in general. Ladies and gentlemen, cattlemen and cattle women, please take advantage of this golden opportunity to invest and own 2 females that have wrote history at our ranch, and are leaving with a lasting impression. We are very, very proud of these mama cows and we can’t wait to see how they perform in the future.

A donor that is a diamond in the rough. Many visitors over the years have asked to see some of our top producing cows and we have always been drawn to wanting to show them this gal. When she has a calf at side, she puts every ounce of energy into that calf. A heavy and great milker that has always had 800+ pound calf at weaning. She ratios 115 on 5 calves. She has raised 4 sale topping sons over the course of the years averaging $12,125. She has only produced 1 female and that daughter ranked in the top percentile for WW and YW for Acclaim daughters in the entire breed. She is being offered this year as 123 for the May calving group and has a son selling as lot 47. This donor dam’s calves have explosive growth, great fleshing ability, excellent numbers and they reak of muscle. The disposition on them have been great and they have been the kind of cattle that make a guy smile for days when watching them grow and develop. Last year was quite possibly her best calf to date. Millers Dakota Marker O148 lead off our 2022 sale and topped the sale at $29,000 to a group of cattlemen from Texas and New Mexico. She’s a cow that ratios 115 at yearling. From start to finish, her offspring will exceed your expectations and she will continue to pave the way to profitability and superior production. She has been a solid embryo producer, averaging 6-8 embryos on 5 flushes. She sells safe in calf to AI to the $500,000 spring sales sensation; Connealy Craftsman. Due 8/30/23.

This is the kind of cow that makes a grown man cry when he lets her go. The phenotype sensation and the best looking cow on the entire ranch. She displays and represents what dreams are made of. We would take a pasture full of her every day of the week. We have strived to build a herd around her and replicate the females we keep to look and produce just like her. She’s one of a kind, rare kind and mating options and opportunities on this female are absolutely endless. She will raise a herd bull or 2, she could flushed to raise them sought after purebred or percentage show heifers that the show industry is craving and raving about. She could be introduced to the Simmental breed for Sim-Angus offspring. The list of options goes on and on and on. What made the decision to finally let this female go after countless offers, was her 2021 flush that yielded a large group of females born in 2022. We have an array of daughters by Myers Fair N Square and Deer Valley Growth Fund that are replicas of this cow. We intend on flushing 1, if not 2 of them, as virgin yearlings before entering them into production. This powerfully constructed daugher of PA Powertool 9108 rations 101 at BW on 5 calves, 108 on Weaning on 5 calves and 110 on Yearling on 5 natural calves. She has averaged $10,000 on 2 natural bull calves and has placed 1 natural heifer into production in our herd. Her first embryo bull calf by Sitz Barricade sold to the great cow herd and long time customers Mark Metzger at Brookdale Angus in Iowa. This donor cow ranks amongst the best when it comes to carcass merit. She’s a powerful, high indexing cow as well. A dominant and consistent embryo producer, averaging 10-12 embryos on 6 flushes. As stated before, the mating options on this particular female are endless and it comes with great pleasure and honor to offer you this caliber of female bred to the $500,000 sensationl; Connealy Craftsman. Due 8/30/23.
