Manav Rachna International University Manav Rachna International University is a Deemed to be University, under section-3 the UGC Act of 1956. Originating in 1997 as Career Institute of Technology and Management (CITM), an esteemed educational entity, it gained deemed university status in 2009. It consists of six faculties including Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) and Faculty of International Studies (FIS) Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS), Faculty of Computer Applications (FCA), Faculty of Commerce and Humanities (FCH)). Manav Rachna International University is an embodiment of Manav Rachna Vidyanatariksha which signifies the creation of human beings or individuals with attention to all components for holistic growth. The concept of 'Manav' is accorded the fundamental status. The MRIU is situated in green campus of Arravali hills in the heart of NCR. Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) The institution was established in the year 1997 which achieved the individual status as FET under MRIU in the year 2009. Presently FET is engaged in a focused mission via innovative techniques and creative thinking to give graduate engineers the competitive edge in an ever-expanding global market. It offers B.Tech program in nine disciplines: AERO, AUTO, BT, CIVIL, CSE, ECE, EEE, IT, ME. It also offers M.Tech programs in Mechanical, Electronics and Computer Science Engineering, and PhD program in the various disciplines of engineering and other allied subjects. About the Mechanical Engineering Department Mechanical Engineering Department (MED) is one of the oldest and the largest department of MRIU Faridabad. The department offers B. Tech., M. Tech. and Ph.D. programmes with wide choices of specialization, electives and research areas. New B.Tech. Industry integrated has been introduced
apart from the B.Tech. Course. The department is running one M. Tech. programme in Mechanical Engineering with the specialization in Industrial Engineering. Specialized design syllabus covering course ME subjects and few specialised subjects related to automotive manufacturing industry. The department is having qualified and experienced faculty in almost all streams of Mechanical Engineering. Various areas of research are being pursued in the department like CAD/CAM/CIM, Fracture Mechanics, Advanced Manufacturing Processes, Mechatronics, Production and Operation Management, Supply Chain Management and Knowledge Management etc.
