THE STORY
Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meetsmurder mystery. The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by Wadsworth – the butler, Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out… WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!

MEET THE CAST
BLUE B. BYNUM (Mustard) Senior - Blue can act, he just hasn’t until this play. To him, Clue is a perfect story for a rainy day when the thunder booms and the skies are dark. Thanks to his incredible parents, Blue has seen the film on a regular basis since childhood, and may have been slightly overprepared. He would like to thank Mrs. Potthoff and Baker, respectively, for their efforts to brighten the dull world of high school (efforts more successful than it may seem). Also, Blue does not like mustard. He’s a ketchup kinda guy.
JOHANNA DICK (Singing Telegram Girl) Freshman- This is Johanna’s second production with MRH, her first was You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. She spends her time doing Speech and Debate, Volleyball, STUCO, and Girl Scouts. She would like to thank the cast and tech, and of course Mrs. Potthoff and Mrs. Baker for this amazing show and opportunity. She is very excited for her 6 seconds of fame, and she hopes you enjoy the show!
JO KAPLAN (Mrs. White) Senior - Jo Kaplan is the Community Service Chair of Troupe 3189. This is the 7th show with MRH and their 3rd as an actor. They have previously participated in War of the Worlds, Blithe Spirit, Girls Like That, The Diviners, Boeing Boeing, and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. When they are not on stage you can find them organizing the props closet and making a spreadsheet. Along with theater, Jo participates in clubs such as Speech and Debate, Mock Trial, NHS, Students for Social Justice, and Key Club. They would like to thank their parents, their sister for running lines with them, and Peace Tea for helping get them through rehearsals. Jo would also like to give a huge thank you to this amazing cast for putting their all into this production, along with Mrs. Potthoff and Mrs. Baker for dedicating so much of their time to making Clue the best that it can possibly be. Enjoy the show!
MAPLE KRYAH (Peacock) Sophomore - This is Maple’s first actual acting role (yay!!! :) She has worked on three other precious theater productions. Maple has enjoyed doing theater and to be able to be an actor in this production is really important to her. Maple is very excited to be a 60-somethingyear-old lady. Her early-stage arthritis really works with the role. Maple has watched the movie 5 times in preparation for this role. She is grateful to Potthoff and Baker for being fun and
great people. Always know, if you die you’re dead, if you close your eyes you can’t see, stay vigilant everyone.
MAXWELL LEACH (Wadsworth) Sophomore - This is Max’s first acting role. He has worked on tech crew for several productions. Max loves theater and has been doing it since the seventh grade. He has mostly worked on the sets for shows but he is very excited to act for the first time. Max loves movies and storytelling. One of his favorite movies is Clue. He is very happy to be a part of this production and to work with all of his fellow cast members. He would also like to thank Mrs. Potthoff and Mrs. Baker for helping him get where he is today.
TREY MAXWELL (Police Officer) Senior - Trey has done a few shows with MRH including War of the Worlds, Blithe Spirit, The Diviners, and You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown. He is one of the Community Service Chairs for Thespian Troupe 3189 and loves doing the food drives. He is sad that this is his last year of theater and would like to thank Potthoff, Baker, and his parents for everything they do to support the theater and Trey. And to answer Max’s question, I do canoe.
DARRELL MERRIWETHER (Police Chief) Sophomore - This is Darrell’s first play and he is so excited to perform and make people smile. Darrell loves all his cast members and being the play is such an enlightening experience for him. He hopes to increase his experience in plays in the future and most importantly, have a fun time.
PATRICK MEYERS (Mr. Green) Senior - Patrick is the President of Troupe 3189 and a Missouri State Thespian Officer. This will be his ninth show with the Blue Devil Players, and, unfortunately, his last fall production with the troupe. While Patrick is not at rehearsal, he enjoys hunching over a desk and solving math problems for hours at a time, or working with another extracurricular group that he is a part of. In particular, he loves singing. The guy is in 4 choirs. 4 choirs! In early October, he qualified for the St. Louis All-Suburban choir, and received a slot to audition for the All-State choir. Patrick would like to take the time to thank black shorts and white tees, the power rule, and his directors. He should probably thank his parents too. He dedicates this performance to his best friend, Jeremiah. He misses him a whole bunch. No, he didn’t die, he just went off to college. That’s basically the same thing?
FRANCES
NOLL (Yvette) Senior - Frances is the Secretary of Troupe 3189 and has participated in five shows total; specifically in tech. Outside of school, Frances enjoys not being able to finish a single Crumbl cookie (her expectations are never matched) and spreading the drewth (drewmoji coming soon). With now having experience in both tech and acting, Frances realized that whichever position she has in producing a play, fills her heart equally. The amount of love and connection that are present in the MRH theatre community is unmatched, and with Clue being her last fall production, Frances cannot stress enough how much she will miss everyone who showed her said love and connection. One hundred and fifty words aren’t enough to express her gratitude to her theatre family, but she would like to explicitly thank Mrs. Potthoff for the kindness she has shown Frances since middle school; without her, she wouldn’t be where she is today. <3
VERA PANTAZIS
(Miss Scarlet) Junior - In the past four years, Vera has survived four Potthoff productions, beginning with War of the Worlds, the state performance of Girls Like That, and last year’s Boeing Boeing. She is the President-inTraining of Thespian Troupe 3189 and assists in running the MRH Blue Devil Players social media account (go follow us on Instagram!!). Vera is so excited to partake in heinous, unAmerican activities in Clue! In addition to her love of theater, Vera participates in Speech and Debate, Mock Trial, soccer, Youth and Government, Key Club, DECA, NHS, and is a member of the Principal’s Advisory Leadership Board as well as a Student Council officer. She also works at the Blue Duck! As always, she’d like to thank her parents, her directors and coaches, and sugar-free Red Bull for their constant love and support. In particular, she’d like to profusely thank Potthoff for allowing her to pick out her own dress for this production. Enjoy the show!
JORDYNN
PHIPPS (Mr. Boddy) Senior - This is Jordynn’s fourth show with MRH. She is the Vice President of Troupe 3189, and also participates in speech and debate, students for social justice, key club, NHS, and track and field. She’d like to thank Potthoff and Baker for never failing to put on an amazing show and motivating her to be the best version of herself. Getting to work with the most talented people is always a privilege and she wouldn’t have it any other way. Love you Troupe 3189!
LAMINA POLL (The Cook) Junior - She spends her time doing nine after-school activities and working while keeping up with her friends as her daily life as a high schooler. She enjoys being in multiple choirs ( she got into the St. Louis All-District Honor Choir, let’s gooo ) and finds time for sleep (a whole other ordeal ). This is her second major high school play, and she is so grateful to have the opportunity to be in another. She would like to thank Jason Jan for founding Froyo, and PopCorner Kettle Chips for getting her through tough times. A HUGE thank you to Hamzah and Martin for being there for her when she needs a laugh. And to Potthoff and Baker because how do they put up with us? Finally for Ms. Maddex, for letting her complain in her office. Lamina genuinely doesn’t know what she’d do without her. In the clurb we all fam!
MAESON RODGERS (Motorist)
Freshman - This is Maeson’s second MRH production. He has done numerous productions outside of school, those being The Little Mermaid, Percy Jackson, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and more. Maeson enjoys hanging out with friends and family. He is a part of two choirs in school one of them being Chamber Choir. He would like to sincerely thank Shooting Star Productions for introducing him to musicals. He would also like to thank Ms. Potthoff and Ms. Baker for their encouragement and constant positivity.
CHANCE TERELMES
(Professor Plum) Senior - Chance has no position in the thespian troupe and has never been in an MRH production before. He would like to thank Potthoff for letting him try this out, and his family for supporting him. With that being said he doesn’t have much to talk about so he will instead tell you 8 facts about yourself.1: You can’t see your eyes without a mirror. 2: You can’t count your hair; 3: You can’t breathe through your nose, with your tongue out; 4: You just tried #3; 6: When you did #3 you realized that it is possible, only you look like a do;. 7: You are smiling right now, because you were fooled; 8: You skipped #5; 9: You just checked to see if their #5. Enjoy the show :)
MEET THE CREW
AMIYAH AREND (Set) Freshman - This is Amiyah’s 4th show with MRH. She has done sets on The Diviners, Boeing Boeing, and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. She had an amazing time working on Clue and is excited to work on more productions in the future. She would like to thank Hadley, Julie, and Paisley for being really great to work on set with.
HAZEL BRENNER (Lights/Set) Freshman - This is Hazel’s 2nd show with MRH. She helped with tech crew for Boeing Boeing, however, she could only be there on weekends so Clue: on Stage is her biggest time commitment for MRH plays. Hazel is excited to continue working with MRH on theater productions. This is Hazel’s first time being on the lighting crew and she has had an amazing experience on lighting crew. Hazel would like to thank Lucia Caravelli, Jack Funke, and Isaac Newman for teaching her how to work the board and helping her learn how lighting works.
Freshman - This is Lucia’s fourth production with MRH. She has previously done lights for Diviners, Boeing Boeing, and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, however, this is Lucia’s first production as Lighting Board Operator. Lucia is looking forward to working on more productions in the future.
MAXWELL COLYER (Set) Freshman - Maxwell is excited for his first theater production. Before joining the MRH theater program, he played percussion and piano. Maxwell enjoys carpentry and painting, so joining the set crew was a good fit and has learned a lot throughout the process. Maxwell appreciates the opportunity to work with the cast and crew.
JACK FUNKE (Lights) Junior - This was Jack’s second production with MRH, having previously done Boeing, Boeing. When not obsessively making area sheets, Jack can be found participating in (here comes the obligatory extracurricular dump) Speech and Debate, Mock Trial, STUCO, Key Club, NHS, and Youth and Government. Jack would like to thank the lighting crew
for being such an awesome team, the sound crew for DJing, and the set crew for letting him paint, despite his complete lack of artistic talent. Also, shout out props crew, Jack doesn’t see you often but y’all make the plays happen. Enjoy the show!
MACEY GABBERT
(Assistant Stage Manager) Junior- This is Macey’s third play doing tech for the MRH Blue Devil Players, having previously worked on Girls Like That and Boeing Boeing. She has also had the opportunity to be onstage, as she played Sally Brown in last year’s production of You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. When not doing theatre, she can be found singing any chance she gets. Macey would like to thank her mother for passing along her love of theatre and always being supportive, no matter what. She would also like to thank Mrs. Baker for everything she does, inside and outside of the theater. Macey is so excited to see Clue come to life, and hopes you enjoy the show!
KENDALL GARNEAU
(Assistant Stage Manager/Props/ Makeup) Junior- This is Kendall’s first production since MRH Middle School’s Moana though she also did makeup for the 2024 Student Directed One-Acts: Radium Girls and Epic Fail which was where she learned of her true interest in the technical aspect of theatre. Kendall loved being involved with this production despite her constant complaint of exhaustion and wanting to be asleep. She also enjoyed meeting new people on the tech crew and looks forward to continuing to build those relationships in future productions. She would like to thank Mrs. Baker and Mrs. Potthoff for providing this opportunity, as well as Alexis for listening to her rant, and of course Taco Bell because she believes the world would not be the same without it.
CELIA GILES
(Stage Manager/Set) Junior- Since 8th grade, Celia has completed six shows with Maplewood Richmond Heights Blue Devil Players, and now, Clue will add to the list as number seven. Celia’s past productions include War of the Worlds, Moana, Girls Like That, the 2023 MRH Spring Cabaret, Boeing Boeing, and You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown. Celia is also excited to share that she is the stage manager for the Missouri All-State show, Sweet Charity, which will be put on in January at the MO State Thespian Conference. Additionally, Celia is a Junior Class rep for MRH’s Thespian Troupe 3189. Celia would like to thank Mrs. Baker, Mrs. Potthoff, Mr. Dixon, her wonderful and kind parents, and her car, Cindy Lou Who, for getting her to and from place to place.
CELIA GYMER (Props/Set) Freshman - Celia Gymer is a freshman at Maplewood Richmond Heights. This is her first play and she is very excited to start working on set. She has had so much fun figuring out and organizing props and helping out with painting set. She would like to thank Ms. Baker and Ms. Potthoff for making this such a cool and intricate production and for working so hard to get it done! She would also like to say how fun it was to work with her friends and appreciates all their hard work throughout tech. She hopes that you enjoy the show and can’t wait to work on more plays in the future!
ODESSA JAVIER (Master Carpenter) Senior - This is
Odessa’s 6th and final show with the MRH Blue Devil Players. Believe it or not, she was an actor for Stick with Me in her 8th-grade year and for Girls Like That in her sophomore year. While she enjoyed her time on stage, she has found her place in creating the set instead. When she is not 1 of 3 people who know how to use the jigsaw, she is also seen as a leader of several activities in school. Odessa is the Student Council President, Principal’s Advisory Leadership Board Vice President, Mock Trial Captain, Key Club Secretary, National Honor Society Historian, and an active member of Speech and Debate, the Thespian Troupe, and Youth and Government (We get it, Odessa. You’re busy). She wants to thank The Lumineers for always being there when she needs it, and Celia Giles, Emily Baker, Maia Truemper, and her mom, for the same thing.
ZAZIE KAPLAN (Sound Board Operator/Set)
Freshman- This is Zazie’s second production with the Blue Devil Players. She was a co-sound board operator in You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. This is Zazie’s first production on the board by herself, and she is very excited to take this on. She would like to thank Mavis for being constant entertainment, Amiyah for many rides home, and Ms. Baker for answering a million questions all at the same time. She is so grateful for all of the techies for putting together a great show and is so excited to push those buttons!
EAVAN KRYAH (House Manager/Publicity) Senior - This is Eavan’s fourth production with the Blue Devil Players, and last year as a techie. When she’s not at tech, she spends her time drawing and putting together her art portfolio. In addition, Eavan spends the rest of her time happily participating in both her choir classes, NHS, Principal’s Advisory Leadership Board, SQSH, and SLACKers. She has had a wonderful time working on Clue, and wants to thank Baker for being a great manager, and her sister, Maple, for playing an amazing Mrs. Peacock.
ALEXIS LaROSE (Run Crew/Props) Junior- This is Lexie’s third show here at MRH. They were on tech for Boeing Boeing, and played Marcie in You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown. As well as being officer in our Thespian Troupe 3189. They are so apperceive for being able to have the chance to learn new skills through the props team. Lexie would love to thank Ms. Baker, and Mrs. Potthoff and the rest of the cast and crew for this wonderful production! And to Mrs Potthoff thank you for making Alexis who they are today, they couldn’t have done it without you.
NICO LAURIELLO (House Manager/Set) Freshman - This is Nico’s first theatre production, and he’s so excited to be able to help out. When not having near-death ladder experiences while painting, Nico can be found stressing out over Speech and Debate, in the R&D with the Student Library Advisory Council as secretary, or working on art. He can’t wait to see the show and hopes you can’t wait either!
JULIE LUNDGREN (Set) Freshman - This is Julie’s first production with MRH, and she was very excited to join. She has a deep passion for the fine arts and a great sense of creativity. At first she was nervous not having that much experience under her belt, but the MRH theater community welcomed her with a supporting hand. Julie has learned and experienced a lot working with her crew. This year she painted, drilled, organized, and measured all sorts of projects. Julie enjoys the theater community and is proud to be called a member of it. She plans on joining it in the future years, looking forward to working with her friends on set. To say the least, she considers it an honor to be working with such a kind and welcoming community.
AARON
MARTIN (Sound) Senior - This is Aaron’s 3rd production with the Blue Devil Players. When they are not participating in theater, Aaron can be found planning Student Library Advisory Council meetings as president, taking notes as the secretary of the Principal’s Advisory Leadership Board, or planning Students for Social Justice meetings as a student leader. Aaron can also often be found crying over QLAB not functioning, or QT running out of fountain Dr. Pepper on a show night.
ZANE
MASSEY (Set/Sound) Sophomore - When not horribly playing the guitar, going to SLACkers meetings, or picking out a new horrendous grandpa sweater, Zane can be found frolicking around the MRH theater. She’s done tech for Diviners and Boeing Boeing, and this is her third show! She’d like to thank Jeff Buckley, Bella Fuller, and QT’s supply of Monster Energy and crunch donettes for getting her through tech. Especially Bella for not letting her fall off a ladder and break something. But alas, Zane’s special thank yous go to Baker, Potthoff, Aster, Ian, Jasper, Ethan, and her parents for making her dream of being in theatre and being her true self come true. She’s never been more happy about a show and is incredibly excited to see the audience love it just as much as her. I know more about American Girl Dolls than you do, genius.
ISAAC
NEWMAN (Lights) Freshman - This is Isaac’s second production with MRH, having previously done work on You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. When not in tech, he’s probably in debate way too early in the morning, in a SLACkers meeting, or lying on the floor listening to music somewhere. He’d like to thank his fellow booth workers and Mrs. Baker for answering his probably thousands of questions, his parents for always supporting him and asking what time he’ll be home, and his friends in other crews for making working on tedious tasks way more fun. He can’t wait for everyone to see the show and he hopes they notice how well the fridge door fits in its frame and how perfectly the red lights are positioned.
MAVIS
RAULS (Props Chief) Freshman - While this is only her second production, she enthusiastically took on the role of props chief. Previously, she worked on props and set for You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. At times it was challenging but the rest of the techies, especially Zazie, Amiyah and Lucia, along with her dear friend Myella, made it a wonderful experience. She would also like to thank Ms. Baker and Mrs. Potthoff for their continued support. Mavis has had an amazing time working on Clue and hopes you enjoy the production as much as she did.
ELLA
RICHASON (Set) Senior- This is Ella’s fifth production that she has worked on, and her final fall play at MRH. She has been working on set and scenic painting for the past three years with the hopes of one day being in charge of either hair and makeup or costumes design and construction in the professional theater community. When she is not staining her
pants with paint, she likes to either spend her time at St Louis Academy of Dance with her dance company, or stay at home after South Tech and work on a miltitude of crafts. She loves to be part of groups like the SLACkers and the Theaspians. She would like to thank her parent for helping through her chaotic schedual and her friends for being by her side as she complaints about her chaotic schedule.
BEATRICE SCHMIDT
(Set) Freshman- This is Beatrice’s fourth production, she has done set for Diviners, Boeing Boeing, and done set and sound for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. She also participates in Speech and Debate, Youth and Government, and Key Club. She would like to thank the song FE!N by Travis Scott and her parents for helping her get through this production. She hopes you enjoy the show!
EMILY STONE (Set)
Junior - This is Emily’s 1st (first!!) production with the Blue Devil Players and she enjoys every moment of it. In the mornings, she goes to South Technical School to study pharmacy sciences and ends her days dreaming of a dirty Dr. Pepper. Emily is so grateful for the people she has gotten to know this last year and cherishes all the moments she has had with them. She will forever miss the seniors and can not wait to continue working with the Blue Devil Players in the coming year. Emily would like to thank her father for always supporting her, her best friends for being so goated, Mrs. Baker for trusting her with the paints, Mrs. Potthoff for being ever so sweet to her, and that loud voice she can’t seem to ignore. She hopes you love the show full of the most awesome people ever!
OLIVER
STORM (Set) Freshman- This is Oliver’s first production, he struggles with many things but tries his best and is excited to do work (unless it’s painting, he hates painting) The only club he does outside of tech is Youth and Government as he values his free time highly. He would like to thank Mrs. Baker for allowing him to join late and his dad for coming to pick him up after tech whenever he asks. He would also like to wholeheartedly thank Eliza Williams for throwing a hot glue stick into his head while writing this and Lily Vesper for always doing more work so he can slack off. He can’t wait for all the plays that come after this.
VALLON SUTTON (Set/Props) Sophomore- This is Vallon’s fourth production with MRH. He has worked on Diviners, Boeing Boeing, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, and now Clue. His favorite thing to do on Set is sawing, even though he was scared of it last year. When he’s not working on the set of Clue, he’s probably in McCollum’s room stressing over debate. He would like to shout out Odessa and Vera for giving him rides everywhere.
MAIA
TRUEMPER (Set) Senior - This is Maia’s 7th production with the Blue Devil Players! When she’s not dancing in the shop pretending to be working (this is a joke Baker), she can be found doing a wide array of activities that I’m sure most of you don’t really care about (hey, I get it). However, she feels obligated to acknowledge her role as Speech & Debate Captain, President of the Principal’s Advisory Leadership Board, and 4 year Track and Field athlete. It’s been a long few years and for their endless support she would like to thank Mrs. Baker for answering her endless questions; her parents for accepting her lack of time at home; coconut berry red bull for always being there when she’s down; and Odessa, for everything. She is so grateful for this entire team of both techies and actors who made this production into what it is now. Lastly, she hopes you enjoy the show!
HADLEY TUCKER (Set) Freshman - Hadley Tucker is a freshman at Maplewood Richmond Heights. This is her fourth play, having built sets for The Diviners, Boeing Boeing, and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown! She has had so much fun getting to watch this set come together little by little. She would like to thank Ms. Baker and Ms. Potthoff for spending so much time and effort on making this play amazing! She would also love to thank all of her friends for making tech so fun! (She hopes everyone enjoys the play)
MADELYN TUCKER (Sound/Set) Sophomore - This is Madelyn’s second show with MRH. She has also done sound for Boeing Boeing. She would like to thank Mrs. Baker and Mrs. Potthoff for being wonderful teachers and allowing me to learn and grow as a person throughout the years. She has made many friends through this experience and hopes to gain more!
LILY VESPER (Set) Sophomore - This is Lily’s third show with MRH. They built sets for Boeing Boeing and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. They would like to thank Baker for creating these cool set designs for us to build, and putting up with all the chaos. They would also like to thank Meika, Norah, Hazel, and Oliver for being great friends and great set crew, Layne for showing up to tech when their 15 other extracurriculars will let them, and Ella for being the unofficial friend group grandma. (You guys are awesome!) When they’re not in tech, Lily can usually be found avoiding homework, listening to music, drinking too much coffee, and reading at least four different books at once. They hope you enjoy the show!
PAISLEY WARZEL (Set) Freshman - This is Paisley’s second production. She worked on You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown the year before, and had lots of fun! She enjoyed learning how the silver ladder works (finally) and painting (+ repainting) the entire set. She cannot wait to see what other shows await her!
ELIZA WILLIAMS (Set) Freshman - Eliza has been going to MRH since kindergarten and was very excited to work on their first play. They would like to firstly thank their friends, family, and coworkers for being very supportive and encouraging while they’ve worked on this. They would also like to thank Oliver Storm for drilling in that one annoying set piece and reminding them to put on gloves and goggles. Last but not least, they would love to thank Baker and Potthoff for helping them get out of their comfort zone as well as reminding them to take a couple deep breaths. Eliza would like everyone to know that you should always give things a chance, even if they punch you in the arm a lot.
YVIE ZAMORA (House Manager/Set) Freshman - This is Yvie’s first time being a part of an MRH production, and she is so excited to see it on the big stage. She has enjoyed her time building sets and painting, even though it can be messy work. Yvie would like to thank Mrs. Potthoff for introducing her to theatre, and Mrs. Baker for the wonderful opportunity to help bring this play to life. Lastly, she wants to thank the rest of the techies for being so welcoming to a newcomer like her!

MRH’s Theatre Philosophy
Theatre teaches skills that last a lifetime. Play productions involves more than memorizing lines and performing on stage. While you have been a member of our audience enjoying our shows, did you know we were learning life lessons? By working on stage and back stage, we grew in self-confidence, sacrifice, dynamics, and group decision-making. We also learned applications of practical skills, carpentry, and the use of power tools, costuming, make-up, accounting, visual effects, and sound and video techniques. Thank you for appreciating our creative efforts; and thank you for supporting the arts.
