Power of rhetoric writing to communicate we need deep and deliberate practice passionately. That might lead one to make a professional writer. “It seemed daunting but not impossible” -Heidi Ruckriegel At the age of fifty five, I identified as a writer in comfort without deep and deliberate practice whether entitled standard or not in school, college and even in university. My need based writing process continued through English language in my working environment on and on since 2011 in a specialized field of Intellectual Property. Being a joint family member, I lived in a remote village within the state of West Bengal, eastern part of India. My village Nagarukhra (mentioned in The Ain-I Akbari by Abu'l-Fazl Allami) is situated seventy five kilometers from Kolkata and by the side of almost dead river Yamuna. Here I would relate with Divya Divya’s “That’s all about the writer in me: Getting to know you” from Forums/Read and Share Assignment 1, she says “How love is not……out of them in my stories.” In other words of her husband’s voice “a bird sings ……written and to be read.” (p-1) On the other hand she desperately gave her opinion as “my stories do not need passport” contradicts through “All they need……and identify with.” (p-2) It was too hard for me to learn English at least to communicate with others even nobody had to teach English efficiently in my locality in 1963. Britain imposed its concept of imperialism upon the creamy layer of the society in India and that of a burden of two hundred years legacy. A big growing gap continuing since then for need based foreign language adaptation in our education system till date. After sixty five years of independence our country leaders failed to build an effective education policy yet. Even I failed to gather much hope to achieve MDG (Millennium Development Goals of UN) 2 (Achieve universal primary education by 2015). I thought of myself as a good English learner in recent past. My realization of writing and speaking skill is not good enough to communicate ideas with target audience in a professional level. Now I quite confident to learn Global English professionally and write world class short stories that would earn readers feedback through critical reading and thinking on my pieces. I must use positive attitude from my experiences gathered last 50 years, able to recall and want to share coherently with my short stories. Apart from many of my published short stories in Bengali language, two of my favourite stories published in two books. Another story published in a well circulated monthly magazine in Bangladesh. As a strong believer of lifelong learning and sharing, I love to enjoy a human world and interact with others cohesively till my life goes on. I started work as a commercial migratory beekeeper to continue my study in 1978 and read many books in English like Bees and Man, Fascinating world of Bees and

many more. My only son Milton has graduated last year and recently assigned NDA (Non Disclosers’ Agreement) as a comic book colorist with a French story teller for regular work in the field of digital art. He has a strong base in English and good friend of mine to interact with emerging local issues, though he is too introverted and dedicated as Concept Artist. I feel comfortable for that and we don’t see any generation gap. We engage in discussing passionately about abstract art, surrealism, world literature and global oneness almost every night. Milton is my guide and peer reviewer of my write-ups and inspiration for writing. Part of my job fixed that interacting dedicatedly with colleagues undergoing online training program of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), DL-101 General Course on Intellectual Property to update our performance in the specified field. Out of ten, nine participants are already passed the examination and working with SMEs to build their capacities in various issues on Innovation and Intellectual Property. In 2011 and 2012 I have joined three international programs in different countries like South Korea, Sweden and Philippines on intellectual property issues as WIPO fellow. Then I only realized my deficiencies in English language composition to communicate both in writing and spoken in such specialized field and what Global English is. My first research paper on “Identification and Valuation of Intellectual Property for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)” under Project “SME Intellectual Property Rights Exchange” has been shortlisted by Foreign Commonwealth Office (UK) through British High Commission, New Delhi and Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME). I strongly agree that my English composition has no rhetoric approach for the same. Referring from an anonymous post on Forums/Read and Share Assignment 1 “Magic realism in Marrakech City” writer cites “It is my way to see the world.” (p-1) and “I should avoid vague….. deep insight to the world.” (p-2) With this quotes writer leads me towards even in language learning with deep insight. The narrative essentially guide me that “how reading in English can improve my style in writing, and give power narrative.” (p-2) Heidi Ruckriegel and her “The Metamorphosis” posted on Forums/Read and Share Assignment 1deserves due respect of readers including my support heart and soul for his painstaking learning journey to make her a good teacher. As because I am working with Local, National and International Organizations for a better world with the support of WIPO and HNI, I frequently asked myself that whether my English proficiency is up to the mark or not to communicate with my target readers and thus leads me to participate and develop my efficiency in English Writing II: Rhetorical Composing in the esteemed institution The Ohio State University. Heidi’s crucial articulation on learning and teaching “It seemed daunting but not impossible” makes me great writer to prepare to go my way to see the world and find ground and gaining audience for our work.
