Décor Tip:

Fresh aloes and proteas, or something as simple as a scatter cushion and a light cotton throw will spike your traditional natural décor.

Coastal

Get whisked away on this ocean theme by mixing traditional blues, white and reds and freshening them up with subtle tones of aqua and turquoise. Add a contrast of bold colour with some lovely pattern detail and find yourself feeling one breeze away from springtime bliss. It’s all about being nautical by nature so natural fabrics like wood and woven textures add warmth and character to the cooler tones of the darker hues.

Décor Tip:

Fill jam jars or glass juice bottles with shells picked up from the beach. Find a little drift wood and tins filled with odds and ends - you’ll be in beach house heaven before the tide comes in.

Colour Blocking

We live in the Rainbow Nation so why not go colour crazy? It’s all about solid colour on colour and it’s huge this season!

It’s springtime, so you’ll want the warmth of pinks and oranges with touches of apple green, combined with a dash of stylised florals and patterns to subtly introduce summer.

And then we pop the colour by using black as a combination in patterns or as a backdrop. Also, think patterned duvets and solid colour cushions as well as stripes and solid melamine. And hey! Use as many shades of colour as you like - bring the colour to life… it’s almost Summer!!

Décor Tip:

Don’t be afraid to mix up your colours to create a bit of fun. But keep to one or two patterns and explode with the solid colours.

Oriental Feminine It’s time to combine your feminine finesse with gorgeous oriental style to make the ideal cocktail, where East meets “best”! Mixing shades of pinks and mandarins on a white base with rich colours, with soft lime and lavenders create the palette for this irresistible trend. Then, butterfly and heart detail add to this already beautifully eclectic canvas.

Décor Tip:

Swop your lilies and roses for wild roses, pansies and cherry blossoms, and display them in a bird cage.
