Summer, Colour and things we value most!! Don’t you just love summer? Chilling with mates around a braai, sipping on an ice cold beverage whilst bobbing around in the pool, long hot days on the beach and getting sand between your toes, the list is endless! At Mr Price Home we want to share our summer favourites with you by putting together a guide of our hottest hues this season to keeping you looking cool all summer. Get some colour inspiration with us!

Pop Brights We taking it back to the old school with eighties inspired colour blocking and patterns! What would summer be without a splash of primary colour? Get inspired by POP culture that not only influenced many bad hairstyles and shoulder pads but also created a rad new direction in art, music and fashion. The retro revival has created a wave internationally and we have taken one of our favourite trends, summer brights and added a hint of POP. Combine one of our favourite patterns, pixelated, with solid blocks of colour for a fresh take on this trend. Check out our Single R99.99 Pixelated duvet in our summer catalogue for a visual reference of how to put the look together.

Hot Tip:

Make your look unique by printing out your favorite quotes in black and white and framing them in one of our selection of frames. The black and white artwork will compliment the bright colours and patterns!

Vintage Floral Old and new, pink and blue. How can you not love pretty lace delicate detail? If cupcakes, parties and girly get togethers some of your favourite things, trend is for you.

and tea are this

Get swept away into the Victorian era with floral patterns and handpainted botanical prints. We bring you the classics with colour and pattern and mix it up with contemporary products, from kitchen to bedroom, you always get the best of both worlds Love the look but already have too much pink? Turn your room into a Royal occasion by experimenting with soft blues, pewter, greens and creams to get this look fresh.

Hot Tip:

For an interesting display, cut a few flowers from the garden and display them in pretty tea-cups and a tea-pot.

Global Ethnic The local love hasn’t stopped in Msansi! In our worldly travels to find the hottest trends for you, it appears that local is still lekker. From London to New York we could feel the spirit of Mama Africa! Take your love of ethnic and add a few bright colours for summer. Mixing brighter vegetable tones of red, orange, yellow, turquoise and green with your natural colour pallet works better together then pap and wors. Add in few coloured vases and some fresh new scatters lift the tones of neutral.

Hot Tip: Not sure where to start? Add an instant blast of colour by painting a few terracotta pots and fill with succulents.

Eastern Influence East meets West for a Delhi-lightful combination! This look is all about having fun and celebrating the love of colour and pattern. We’ve been inspired from our travels from the Mediterranean to India and brought you back a combination of treasures. Our favourite patterns consist of ikat, paisley & medallion and can be found on many of our printed duvet covers, cushions, dining and decorative pieces. Don’t be afraid over combining summer brights with more subdued colours such as olive greens and golds to bring your look to life.

Hot Tip: To create and interesting centre piece, coloured glasses and candles are a MUST for this look!
