Page 1

Evaluation You are going to have to produce an evaluation of your work as the last part of your coursework folder. You will find the four questions that must be answered below. You must use various types of IT to complete your evaluation. Each member of the group must produce their own separate evaluation. With each question below you will find a list of suggested ways you could explore this task. You may pick one of the suggestions or look for other ways to answer. You must try to cover as many different forms of presentation as you can. The audience feedback has a specific task listed at the bottom. Good luck!

In the evaluation the following questions must be answered: 1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

i EITHER Create a 3 by 3 ‘art of the title’ style grid of screen shots from your film and then describe in detail with examples how it compares to a similar ‘real’ media product. ii OR Record a director’s commentary and re-edit it against your film with clips from ‘real’ media. iii OR As above, but vlog your opinions with edits of your film and ‘real’ media.

2. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

i EITHER Create a prezi clearly showing how your three products link together and describing how each is linked and effective. ii OR Record and edit or vlog a director’s commentary with appropriate clips and stills to describe the links between your products.

3. What have you learned from your audience feedback?

i Post your video on YouTube and Facebook. Access the ‘insight’ part of the site and assess how many people have viewed your video, where they are from etc. On Facebook, get your friends to leave feedback. Also film your classmates giving feedback on your film and post this.

4. How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages? i EITHER create a prezi or use a Wix site to describe the technology you have used. ii OR Vlog to describe the technology you have used.
