Closing – “God Bless America” (Everyone) CPO Luis J. Reyes, Sr. was raised in Queens, New York and enlisted in the Navy in 1997. His duty assignments include USS Samuel V. Nicholas and Naval Medical Center, in Portsmouth, Virginia; USS Ronald Reagan and Naval School of Health Sciences, in San Diego, California; and Combat Logistics Regiment One, Camp Pendleton, California. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2009 where he earned the Fleet Marine Warfare Specialist Insignia. He is currently assigned to Headquarters Company 25th Marine Regiment, Fort Devens, Massachusetts. He is married to Maria Reyes and together they have three children: Melanie, Luis Jr. and Rosalie. His personal awards include Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
