PHOTOGENESIS battery powered photographer backpack
Photojournalists have to carry a multitude of equipment on the field, which require recharging after an extended period of time. My group saw this as an opportunity to utilize the Moshi’s USB capabilities and lightweight attributes to design a product that could ease the load for a photojournalist.

CARGObaby diaper bag/changing pad
Project Overview
The goal of this project was to design a baby bag that allowed the parents to organize their baby necessities in a manner which makes those necessities easily accessible. In today’s society men are becoming more involved with the responsibilities of taking care of the child. This forced me to design a bag that not only appealed to women but could also be used as an accessory by men.

style + function Compartmentalization
Storage systems such as first aid kits, toiletries, and camera bags were used as a source of inspiration. All provide compartmentalization which allows the users to keep all items visible while organizing everything into designated pockets.
Color & Form
In order to have a subtle appearance, neutral colors such as black, greys, tans, and navy blues will be used for the final design. Simple forms and minimal pockets are desired to keep stray away from the baby bag stereotype.

CARGObaby diaper bag/changing pad
The early stages of ideation were used to explore different features that could be utilized to improve the current solutions on the market. The image shows the organization and the amount of belongings that can fit into the space. This helped with finding a reasonable size that will allow the maximum amount of necessities.

INSPIRATION
Michael Jordan is a part owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. The team’s mascot, the bobcat, was used as a source of inspiration. The hunting nature of a bobcat resembles Jordan’s dominating play style. Not only did he use his intelligence, he used his agility and quickness to overwhelm opposing defenses. His dominance on the hardwood lead the Chicago Bulls to six NBA Championships.

Inspiration:
Bobcats use stealth to dominate their prey. They do so with their physical attributes, such as their long legs and large paws as well as using their hunting instincts.
High Impact Pressure Points:
The areas highlighted on the foot show areas of high impact. Strategically laying out the outsole can maximize the traction needed to gain a slight edge over the opponent.
