Lot 50... Blk/Red carrier Herdbull Prospect!

- Well we’re into the black/red gene carrier bulls, a product of the outcross genetics we are plugging into our red program. Needless to say, if this guy was red, he probably would be leading off this event with his red full brother selling as Lot 1!

- Lot 50 is one of six full brothers in the sale, and he is the first of three brothers that are black/red gene carriers. He is sired by the $150,000 PIE Captain and his dam, Kalli 0003, is a beautiful young McCumber Tribute daughter out of one of our foundation donors by Independence.

Lots 50 - 52... blk/red carrier flushmates to Lots 1-3.

- Lot 51 is a moderate, stout made tank! Like his brothers, he is loaded with shape throughout his top and hip.

- His dam, Kalli 0003, was the top black/red carrier Tribute daughter born in ‘20, so we flushed her as a yearling heifer and ended up with eight Captain calves, 6 bulls and 2 heifers.

- Lot 52 is the last of the full brothers and has the build that would tend us to believe him to be a true calving ease bull.

- Remember that when mated on red cows, Lot 51 should sire 50% red calves and the black ones will carry the red gene. Back in ‘18 we went out on a limb and purchased a semen interest in McCumber Tribute... we are now starting to hasrvest the fruits of our labor.
