Silver Bay Links Red Dot, Moose Walk and Moose Run Trails
Lush forests, breathtaking views of Lake Superior and rocky ledges are just some of the things to expect from this cluster of trails in the North Shore trail system. The Red Dot Trail connects the off-road friendly communities of Silver Bay and Beaver Bay, by way of slicing through the Tettegouche State Park forest and traversing scenic overlooks. It connects to the northern Moose Walk and Moose Run trails, both of which will lead you through the Sawtooth Mountains and along the North Shore. The trails are family friendly and there are plenty of trail shelters for rest stops.

Tower Multi-Use Trail
Traveling east from the trailhead in Babbitt, the 23-mile Stony Spur II ATV Trail covers some of the most remote highlands in the state, so riders are encouraged to bring food, water and fuel. There is also a shelter at the trail’s easternmost point. Skirting the south side of Bear Island State Forest, riders will cross streams and rivers, in addition to venturing through aspen and cedar tree stands. Riding and climbing in the Snort Lake Gravel pit, located near the trail, is also an option.
The City of Tower and the public beach and campground at McKinley, on Lake Vermilion, are connected by this short two-mile trail.
