The Turin Shroud is argued by some to be the actual burial cloth of Jesusas, used after the Crucifixion.
Is the cloth the exact same Shroud to have wrapped the figure of Jesus Christ (peace be upon him) 2,000 years ago after the Crucifixion, or an ingenious medieval forgery? Visit the exhibition and talk to the experts to help unravel this fascinating mystery.
After the immense success of the previous years, The Review of Religions is pleased to once again host the Shroud of Turin conference at the 2018 Annual Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. The conference now attracts some of the world’s leading experts in the Shroud research and will be chaired by Barrie Schwortz, creator of the largest website on the Shroud of Turin (www.shroud.com) and official documenting photographer of the Shroud of Turin in 1978.
Panel of leading experts We are delighted to welcome back some of our notable experts who attended the conference last year, including Bruno Barberis, who is the former President of the Scientific Committee of the International Centre of Sindonology of Turin and former Director of the Shroud of Turin Museum of Turin. Bruno has lectured around the world delivering over 2,800 talks on the Shroud.
40 years of Shroud Research This year’s conference holds a special significance as 2018 marks the 40th anniversary since the first ever scientific examination was performed on the Shroud - by STURP (Shroud of Turin Research Project). The exhibition will once again be generously supported by Pam Moon, a Shroud expert, who will be displaying the life-size replica of the sacred relic as a visual aid to tell the story of the crucifixion.
