Dopo aver lavorato come muratore ed essere stato insignito di una medaglia al valore militare, decide di seguire la sua grande passione e diventare un corridore. Appassionato alle imprese sportive, soprattutto dei fratelli Pèllissier partecipa alle prime corse per dilettanti vincendo: il Giro del Piave, la Coppa della Vittoria, il Giro del Veneto, la Coppa Gallo, il Giro del Grappa. Il fatidico incontro con Luigi Ganna, vincitore del primo Giro D’Italia, segnerà la sua carriera e aprirà le porte all’esperienza unica ed indimenticabile del Tour de France.

He has been the first italian to win the tour de France in 1924 and he has won the yellow jersey from the first to the last stage. The bricklayer from Friuli, Ottavio Bottecchia, has been a myth of the cycling. After having worked as bricklayer and gained a purple heart he decided to dedicated to his passion and become a rider. He entered the history as the first Italian athlete who won the Tour de France, by wearing the yellow jersey from the first to the last stage. Reserved and mysterious, without knowing any French word and any foreign road, he proved to be a big champion. “He moves forward precise as a balance wheel, he seems the only one who doesn’t make any effort more than his capacity. DMMT Double Monocoque Technology

Con questa tecnica costruttiva dei telai in carbonio di ultima generazione vengono eliminate tutte le possibili imperfezioni interne. Questo è reso possibile da un supporto interno che mantiene stabile il processo di layup del carbonio. Il processo di compattazione delle fibre viene continuamente controllato durante la fase di “cottura” del doppio stampo che permette la produzione a maggiori pressioni rispetto al tradizionale uso del “sacco di plastica” conferendo al prodotto finale una resistenza del 20% superiore ed un peso inferiore.

DMMT Double Monocoque Technology With this last generation carbon frames production technique all the internal blemishes are removed. This is possible thanks to an internal support that keeps the carbon layup process constant. The process of compression of the fibers is always controlled during the “baking” of the double mould that allows to produce with higher pressure compared to the traditional use of “ plastic sack”, giving to the final product a 20% more resistance and a lighter weight.
