UPPER LAWN Live Music

Forest Elders Old growth forests are essential to healthy environments. Learn about their ecological importance and enduring mystique.

Autumn Nature Crowns Calling all artists! Show your artistic side as you create a crown fit for royalty using natural materials.

Insects on Display 11 am–2 pm Join the University of Delaware’s Entomology Club as they showcase their live insect collection. Discover the different ways that insects use trees and how you can support them at home. 2

Trees: Nature’s Champions Learn about the importance of our native trees and the wildlife that utilize them. Explore the various types of bark, wood, leaves, and fruit to see and feel what makes each species unique.

TERRACE Welcome Walks 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm Each walk is free with admission and lasts about one hour. Capacity is limited, so please sign up ahead of time at the plant sales tent.

SOUTH GARDEN Story Time Sprouts 11:30 am, 2 pm Relax on our South Lawn while you listen to a selection of nature-themed books about fall.

Lawn Games Enjoy lawn games with the whole family! Bluey’s Woods Venture into the woods and get your hands dirty with nature play activities. Pick up a fall-themed scavenger hunt to follow as you explore the gardens.

FORECOURT Kids Tree Climbing 11 am–3 pm Pull on a harness and get ready to climb! Scale a tree with the help of our arborists and get a birds-eye view of tree work.

Storybook Stroll Wind along the Woods Path as you read along to The Boy Who Grew a Forest. 8

Guided Hike 1 pm This hike is free with admission and lasts about 2 hours. Be prepared to walk steep hills and uneven terrain. Sign up at the plant sales tent.

FORECOURT Plant Sales A variety of native plants will be available for purchase, while supplies last. Membership Membership is natural nourishment. Sign up today!

NATURAL LANDS Hayrides 11 am, 2 pm, 3 pm Celebrate the season with a 20 minute scenic hayride through our natural areas. Free with admission, reserve your time at the plant sales tent as space is limited.
