Foreword This is the program for the celebration (6th to 9th, November 2012) of the "IV Prehistoric Technology Seminar", organized by the Institución Mila y Fontanals (CSIC). Prehistoric Technology Seminars from CSIC ‐ Fontanals Institution Milà address issues of interest for research on relationships between technology, society and the dynamics of change in Prehistory. These seminars offer a theoretical‐practical, specialized and inclusive program, with ad‐hoc selected members from leading researchers in each subject of the annual proposal. On this occasion, the theme will address research methodologies on prehistoric agricultural techniques and technology.


IV PREHISTORIC TECHNOLOGY SEMINAR: “PREHISTORIC AGRICULTURE, RESEARCH METODOLOGY” Basic data for the Seminar: Title: "IV Prehistoric Technology Seminar: Prehistoric Agriculture, Research Methodology." Date of Celebration: 6 to 9 November 2012 Venue: Institution Mila y Fontanals, CSIC (Barcelona) Registration fee: 120 Euros. Capacity: Limited to 25 students. If a minimun number of pre‐registrations is not achieved, Seminar will be cancelled.

Pre‐registration/ Registration: The prospective students should send their Curriculum Vitae to this e‐mail address: tecnologiaprehistorica@imf.csic.es The deadline for receiving the CVs is October 14th, 2012. The organization will make a shortlist of students in terms of the fit of their CV. The organization will communicate the pre‐selected students the instructions to enroll (before the end of day October 15th, 2012; by e‐mail). On October 15th, 2012 the enrollment period opens for pre‐selected students, and it lasts until October 31st deadline.

Endnote: As usual, this seminar involves a special concern for the active participation of the students. In that sense, it will encourage alumni to put together specific issues of their own investigations, in relation to the Seminar's theme (research methodologies in relation to prehistoric agricultural techniques and technology).Yet, alumni presentations are not compulsory, but a possibility open to students, on individual basis.
