When Appalachian State has the ball: When Appalachian State has the ball, the Mountaineers re-establish their running game with Jalin Moore, who ran for 244 yards in App State’s 47-20 victory over Idaho on Nov. 14. Moore was playing primarily for Marcus Cox, who sat out the

game to rest a lower body injury. Cox is back and healthy, according to head coach Scott Satterfield. Moore is second in total rushing yards behind Cox, who needs just nine yards to eclipse the 1,000yard barrier for the third time in his career.

When UL Lafayette has the ball: When Louisiana-Lafayette has the ball, chances are Elijah McGuire will be running it in the Ragin-Cajuns’ effort to establish their running game. McGuire has 929 yards and 12 touchdowns while averaging 5.2
