Letter from the CHAIRMAN INDEX
What a time to be living, working and playing in Greeneville and Greene County! Despite the challenges of covid and the supply chain difficulties over the last few years, our community is thriving. We’ve seen unreal growth in capital investments, job creation and residential housing. Our Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is $2.8 BILLION!
Employers are proving they believe in the future of Greeneville and Greene County by making these investments in our community and our workforce. We are on track for record growth the next three years. The Greeneville Light & Power System will be rolling out broadband internet, which is a game changer for many of our citizens. The Tennessee College of Applied Technology will be opening a campus here to better serve the needs of students and employers seeking skilled labor.
If you are new to the area or considering relocating, you won’t find a more picturesque community with a rich history, plenty of recreational activities, and many restaurant and retail shops. The staff at the Greene County Partnership (GCP) is committed to working with local governments, employers and individuals to promote economic and workforce development. The GCP staff welcomes you to contact them about opportunities in Greeneville and Greene County.
Thank you to all of our members for investing in this community and the Greene County Partnership. I’m excited for the next few years as we all work together to make Greeneville and Greene County the best place to be.
