Georgia Trails

BLUE RIDGE Long Branch Loop Length: 2.0 miles • Rating: Easy. Hiking and mountain bicyclists only. From Blue Ridge travel east (toward Blairsville, GA) on GA Hwy 515, approx. 0.8 miles past intersection with GA Hwy 5. Turn Right at Windy Ridge Rd., go 0.2 miles to dead end with Old U.S. 76. Turn left, go 0.2 miles to Aska Road on right. Continue south on Aska Read 5.9miles to Shady Falls Road. Turn left, proceed 0.2 miles to parking area on left. ELLIJAY Carter’s Lake: 3,220 acre Lake maintained by US Army Corps of Engineers. Popular for camping, fishing, picnicking, boating, and mountain biking. Ellijay, Cartecay, and Coosawattee Rivers: provide excellent fishing & canoeing DAHLONEGA Bull Mountain: Multi-Use Trail - Length: 15.0 miles Rating: Easy/Moderate for hiking, horseback riding or mountain biking. Take GA 52 west from Dahlonega for 8.5 miles to Grizzle Store. Turn right onto Nimblewill Road and continue for 2 miles. Turn right onto Forest Service Road 28-1 and follow signs for the Bull Mountain parking area on Forest Service Road 83.

HELEN Anna Ruby Falls: Rating: Easy 1/2 mile paved trail that leads from the parking lot to two viewing decks. More adventurous hikers can also walk the 4.6 mile Smith Creek Trail, which connects the base of Anna Ruby Falls to Unicoi State Park. From Helen take Georgia 75 north for 1 mile. Turn right on Georgia 356 for 1.5 miles, then left at the sign to Anna Ruby Falls. Follow this road for 3.6 miles to the parking area. TALLULAH FALLS Shortline Trail: (multi-use) 3 miles. Rated easy. Tallulah Falls State Park – Terrora Circle Road, is paved and can be used for hiking, biking, skating, etc. It follows part of an old railroad bed. www.mountainlakeguide.com | Holiday 2021
