One Commissioner was a sure "no” vote. Another was a "yes." Two other Commissioners were ready to vote "no," but only if John would. If John votes "no" The Mill Creek vote fails 4 to 1 and the plant doesn’t get built. John did the Right Thing. He voted "yes." Mill creek passed, created new jobs and is now providing needed electrical generation, more new jobs and boosting the local tax base. John also voted for Northwestern Energy’s Spion Kop wind project, a 40 mw facility that will provide even more good jobs and clean, low cost electricity (lower cost than coal) to Montana rate payers - without having to use eminent domain to secure the needed right of way for transmission. Just as he did in the legislature, John came through for Butte and Anaconda. He always has. He always will.”
