Comprising and dwelling all aspects vernacular architecture in modern days. Related to the environmental contexts of the region , available resources , utilizing the traditional technologies . All forms of vernacular architecture are built to meet specific needs, accommodating the values, economies and ways of life of the culture. In this context the main focus elements are the natural lighting and also natural ventilation from the traditional architecture in Malaysia, reflecting the gap between the rattan weaving elements. Focusing on the vernacular ventilation concept and bring it into the modern days by enhancing some of the elements to works as double function of façade which allow ventilation yet act as a shading device.
