ROCK HOUNDING

I am setting Monday, June 20th, 2022, the first day of Summer in 2022 as the first official day that I started rock hounding. I had been collecting rocks prior to this date though. This date is significant however because it marks the date in my rock collecting and tumbling hobby that I brought home my biggest rock haul up to that date.

In this chapter are photos of my rock hauls since Monday, June 20th , 2022.

I should note that my knowledge of rocks and the types they are is little to none as I'm starting this from the date listed above. I simply enjoy picking up rocks that look interesting and bringing them home to wait for their turn in a tumbler.

Haul 001 - This is a batch of rocks I collected in Salem, AL plus a few in my front yard on Monday, June 20th, 2022. I counted 110 rocks. These range in size from about golf ball size to smaller, and I think they all may be some form of quartz. This photo was taken on Monday, June 20th, 2022 @ 7:00 AM CST.
