Preliminary figures for 2013 indicate that Spain’s exports of furniture have increased by +12.6% over the last year’s figures, amounting to 1,188 million euros at the end of September. Rich in styles and ranges and with a unique emotional approach, Furniture from Spain has consolidated its presence in four UE countries: France, Portugal, Germany and the United Kingdom, which rank 1st to 4th among Spain’s major markets.

Over the period January-September 2013, France, which is Spanish furniture’s major market, has increased its purchases of Spain’s furnishing products by +14.4%, totalling 336 million euros. The share of sales to France made up 28.3% over the total of Spain’s furniture exports. As for neighbouring countries, exports of made in Spain furnishing products have registered positive results also in Germany (+3.3%), the Netherlands (+93%), Belgium (+3.1%) and Switzerland (+33.8%), which ranked 3rd, 6th, 12th and 14th, respectively. www.muebledeespana.com/paris
