First Year | Semester 1, 2011/2012 (Minor) Shoplots Facade Face-lift in Gombak, Kuala Lumpur Deconstructivism - Daniel Libeskind
Geometrical shape adapted from the natural environment, such as the seashells and fern leaf combined forming simple forms. This facade showcases the simplicity of triangles, composing it into various forms. Applying deconstructivism, by distorting and dislocating the elements, adding new protruding structure for function and aesthetic values. Inspired by simple-organic-geometrical forms
First Year | Semester 2, 2011/2012 (Minor) Photography Composition
through the eyes of a child This project reminisces the children’s impression on their surroundings and the things they see, and taught me to see things from another perspective, both from the children and layman’s eyes. Photography composition, rule of thirds and basic elements and principles of design are the main emphasis in carrying out this project. 6

SECOND Year | Semester 1, 2012/2013 (Major) Orang Asli Children Development Centre in Kampung Sungai Lalang, Semenyih Children’s Cognitive Development
The orang asli children development centre is situated on the sloping forest area in the heart of Kampung Sungai Lalang Baru, Semenyih. It is surrounded by the Orang Asli (Aboriginal) community of Temuan tribe, and Tekala river recreational area. Due to the location of the site in the forest, it is an opportunity to amalgamate the design with the nature. The design of the centre encourages the involvement of community as well as the development of children. The centre provides spaces for the orang asli to develop interest in learning, skills, and cultural activities
Radial circulation with gradation of space character to the qualities of children’s development stages: Sensorimotor (Spontaneous) 0 - 2 years
Concrete Operational (Socializing) 7 - 11 years
Preoccupational (Eccentric) 2 - 7 years
Formal Operational (Independent) 11 years +
The design takes shape as curvy and radial planning, in favour of the site profile and psychologically incite curiosity to its occupants. The floor plan diverges from a main beacon (node) at the top of the hill on the site. There are nodes scattered throughout the site to entice experiential learning for the kids. 12
Response to community by Maximise fenestrations for natural orienting towards the communal ventilation and daylight area
Tree-house effect - by maximising Staggered design to respond and active areas nearby pre-existing utilise the sloping site, minimise big trees cutting of land and maximise positive views
