An experiment with campsite typology
The design of Camp Site for Mr Anil Musthafa includes two key areas demonstrating how architecture can both re-work and reinvigorate sensitive habitat sites. The construction as a whole is designed based on bioclimatic principles to regulate the inside temperature in a passive manner.
Indeed, whilst the south façade made of polycarbonate and the adjacent rammed earth wall act as a Trombe wall, heat ing the room in the winter and cooling it down in the sum mer; the north façade complex built out of a clay-hemp mix and the straw stacks on the roof allow to maintain that tem perature.
Finally, the translucent façades and the clear tarp roofing al low a didactic reading of the building’s ecosystem.
Using innovative construction methods and design processes, both projects “farm” the existing terrain of the site finding its latent potentials.

The project requires multiple cottages sorrounding a central space for in teraction.the usage of wood and water resistant materials give protection against the humid and rainy climate of the site the site is flood pronein rainy seasons and the soil is swampy even after the whooping rainy season and floods
The water level raises upto 1.5 meters maximum
Concept Developement
the gathering space needs direct and easy access from the ferry. for the purpose of segregating the possible couples or individuals the overall blocks are fragmented to triangular huts
spaces are more refined baed on requirements and area calculation. which resulted in 4 guest rooms radially arranged arround the camp fire. a space for dining is provided offcentre to the campfire
Final Solution
Raising the whole bult structure was the obivious choice.
But giving the entire structure mo tion in a vertical axis was a brave move taken by the architects the method was applicable by the researches and casestudies of exist ing disaster resistant constructions in the arcitecture community
THE WHOLE STRUCTURE IS RAISED ON MOVING STILS. THEY FLOAT ON WATER LIKE A BOAT
Drawings & Interior
The triangular form stems from structural and economic principles but also from a symbolic standpoint. Based on this single frame, the structure can span out depending on the future needs of its users and guarantees the modularity of the project in different sites.

The Broadway bus terminus is the largest city bus terminus of the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (Chennai), Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is located in the downtown area of the city,. It lies opposite the Madras High Court along the Espla nade in George Town.
It is a connecting point to several areas in the city. The bus terminus is located at the southern end of Broadway and is near the Chennai Fort suburban railway station.
In 2019, the city corporation planned to construct a 21-sto rey multi-modal hub covering 1 million square feet, integrat ing the Chennai Metro.
It will have a parking space for 1904 cars and 1820 mo torcycles. The bus terminus will be developed with 97 bays across two floors: 53 on the lower level and 44 on the upper level. It will have a leasable area of 92,800 square meter, al lowing commercial and retail on all the floors. Infrastructure includes an interchange hub for intra-city buses, metro, MRTS and para-transit modes of transport. The corporation expects an occupancy rate of 95 percent.

Exo metalCurrent Condition
The site sees at least 5000 passengers arriving or leaving by the 700 to 800 services is under siege from hawkers. People selling vegetables and fruits have virtually taken over the terminus, crowding out commuters from the waiting areas and shrinking the space for for the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) to park its Buses.
The exo metalic plates are pro posed as a reflective panel. it functions as both an insulator and an agent of cooling.
its built by white steel alloy with perforated parts and triangular double paned glass panels. and these are supported by a a steel frame exo skelton.
which also hosts the vertical gar den around the structure
Multi Level Revenue Generation
Chennai serves as a link between three cities: Hyderabad, Secunderabad, and Begumpet. After Charminar, it becomes the city’s primary tourist attraction. The Buddh Purnima project has led to the development of recreational spaces around the lake, which has resulted in the development of the lake’s edge. The master plan, as an extension of the Buddha Purnima project, intends to activate the existing Magta colony through programmes such as markets, artist housing, community spaces, and workshops.

Mud workshop, HCA
Broadway to get a 21-storey,
For millennia men proved that they could live in a sustainable way & lived in harmony with nature. they made use of it, yet respected it. People used earth as a raw material with sensi tivity.
The “modern” fashion of the 20th century created a break with the millennia old developments. Our Mother Earth has been spoilt and abused. The 21st century should find again the harmonious link between man, nature and spirit.
So in recomendation of Ar pratheek sudhakar who is a god father of our college brought fellow architects from aurovile to guide us in this project. The process was meant to be just a workshop as usual, but the activities the process forced us to work together.
The dire need for more human labour put us us in a position to dissolve the boundaries between seniors, juniors, students and teachers. for a few days we were all one family.
we learned the hardships of mannual labour, usefulness of raditional materials, construction techniques

2 - End Tails
The end portions were modeled natural ly by us students with out any prior plan ning - the process was mindful - came naturally with flow - also it was designed on site regards to human anthropometry
2 - DECORATIVE PARTS
Plantain leaf was laid after a rain to cover which accendantly stuck to the footing. experimentally we used it as an adhessive layer for placing pots and planting holes
3 - SEATING
The seating space is constructed with the same footingbut for aesthetics and fun. we used beerbottles and mud pots as support and volume. The end of the bottles were ornamented with hand
- 1.5 foot pits were taken for footing. This Soil taken from the pit after excavation was used as mortar - the soil was orange and part laterite which we mixed with shell lime and water by our foot and left to ferment for days.after wards we mixed it with hay and more fermented soil by foot to create mortar
- The balls rolled from it was similar to clay and more easy to apply
Everyone explored theire mental flaws and depth of theire thought gears
Every ornamentation on the sur face is uniques creation of evry 200 students participated in the workshop.
Sports Centre, S6
A multy directional adaptation to sports spaces
The building is a close and powerful dialogue with the world of iron. It also asserts itself as a serene landmark in a uni verse marked by the railway and automobile movement. In this context-sensitive to vibrations, the work required studies of a great technicality.
The site is at the entrance toward the cochin smart city proj ect. and many factors like future expansions and population dencity, client user type , footprint etc had to be considered
during the conceptual development the idea to incorporate natural material construction and considering the sports cen tre as a meditative space for the body was developed
hence the design took turns to incorporate lessons from tad ao anto and b v doshi to make the spaces mindful
in the end more focus was given to the technical and servic side due to the semester requirement. but during the intern ship preparements i was able to give more focus on the per sonal design aspiration and deal it with more freedom

a sensible approch to ecosensitive designing
The concept is to design facilities that offer the opportunity to live in an environmentally friendly and quiet environment instead of the traditional lifestyle found in traditional hotels.
The goal is not to build a hotel in the forest, but to return some of the land destroyed by humans to nature.
In addition, one of the key tasks is to find creative and comprehensive solutions to the problems that arise in the process of building eco-hotels in environmentally sensitive areas.

Cafeteria
The cafeteria is a crucial part of design due to its waste production - its where people meet so the floors had to be mixed with cob, laterite bam boo to occupy the dead and live load - it also equips biogas plants under the raised platforms to convert biowaste into fuel to cook - storage for long term is also allocated since transporting goods are difficult
Lutheran church, california Conceptual Renovation Of a Communaly Senitive Church
The clients are a small congregation group at the end of Harbor View Drive in Martinez. the church is situated on a hilltop with a view and with wildlife frequently stopping by for a visit.
Theyre goal is to grow in His Word that they might be more Christ-like. they seek to live out theyre God-given calling in a way that helps to heal people living in a broken world.
With the main church in the middle design was supposed to be more focused on functionality, but the client emphasised the lack of exposure for the church among the low lense community. also similar churches with same name was a challenge
to solve that a major logo ,branding and exterior design change was required, hence the conceptual design process had to go through several redo stages
Location : Martinez, California, USA
Site Area : 2.5 Acre

Type : Communal
Ministry HomeModular Home Cross
The west side of the church was vacant and allocated for a low budjet guest room like space. hence we arrived at a modular construction method , which is very cheap and popular in usa As explained earlier many things had to be eye catching, sym bolic and memorable to make the church iconic. hence a huge cross that strike the eyes and heart of believers
Lutheran Church Sanctuary
The existing church had no altar space due to the accomodation space for staff and caretakers in the north -a connection or access was needed from the church to ministry home road and the modular home . - alll of these was acheved by moving the accomodation to ministry home and modular building - with more space free, the church got resdesigned into a more open and accessable bulding -most importantly making the goal of making it memorable was in mind
At the top of the hill whre padre and caretakers live . parking is allocated to accomodate more visitors.
more spaces are added and exterior re design is done with minimal financial ex penditure

- The design uses an extenive array of materials in a wide range of contexts, even though the budget is low. so to make sure the textures, smoothness dimen sions, size and quantity of each unit had to be extimated .
- The task is to repreasent the materials in a perfectly accurate manner.
- 2 floors, the roof and even the ground tilings had to be repreasented

1 - Yacht Club Guest Rooms
The former Yacht Club is close to the well-known vytila, Thevara, and other at tractions. It used to be a dairy factory and a boarding house. When it was converted into a private family club, it became a place of social gathering.
As a result of its social significance, the structure stands out within the village fabric due to its location, orientation, proportions, and design: set back from the road, which is now shaded by trees, with crafted ribbons of glazed openings, wooden panelling, and balconies facing the Vembanadu Lake.
