Facade is the most important architectural element that gives the character of the building. This building consists of three or four volumes in one piece. These volumes have two or three heights. It has been decided to protect facade and structural elements of the building.

(1)
Bu sürecin başında ‘machine in the garden’ yani bahçedeki makine ile başlarken bugünün dünyasında oluşturduğumuz şehirlerin ‘garden in the machine’ yani makinedeki bahçe olduğunu görmekteyiz.(2) Hızlı nüfus artışının yanında, sektörlerin de ivme kazanması sonucu yoğun ve büyük şehirler, metropoller ortaya çıktı.

This sketch is one of the short descriptions of the geography that the area has. The geography consists of two basic layers. First, the static, hard rock layer that creates ground and carries everything on it. second is a dynamic and vibrant layer that plants, animals and other livings are there. Concrete represents hardness or being static of the ground. The one of the important quality of the ground and rock is tactility. To continue this feeling, concrete facades will have a traces of its mould, veins of the wood. Secondly, it is a dynamic and vibrant layer of plants that survives the lives of animals and other living things.

MIXED MEDIA
The research is about understanding the design methodology. We wanted to grasp that how design occurs, how it works and what is the mechanism of the design. Altough there is no definition or structure of the
design, we could experience and understand the design in more specific environments. We tried to express and clarify the design mechanism over the firm which is Mixed Media which founded by
Umut and Eda Gönen at İstanbul, 2002. The research will handle the topics with some titles. The first title is definition of the firm which we deduced from its design process. Then the environment which is the wider circle or zone that affects design process. We divided the environment
into three parts which are employer, work and the firm. The secod title is design process which we focused on understanding how design starts, ends and what is standing between them. We tell the design process into three parts which are concept, development and implimentation. 40

READING & WRITING ON ARCHITECTURE TUTOR AYŞE SEVİL ENGİNSOY EKİNCİ
GLOSSARY
1 This course made possible to read a lot of articles on the history and theories of architecture. Each of the articles read during the period was a related keyword or a term from that article, and a paragraph was written about them. This work, which is transformed into a dictionary, is not only a literary production but also a process of using page layout, organization and page designs. Along with all of these, binding the prints we have physically obtained and making them into the final product enabled us to get a multidimensional experience ( from the reading and understanding the articles to the book ) on reading and writing on architecture. 41

ZERO EXHIBITION
ZERO
ZERO
Fire, light, movement, space, color, demonstrations and performances: ZERO used all these elements to create a brand new future for art, and with the vision of a new future without borders, lit the fuse of a world scale art movement. In ZERO exhibition, artworks are exhibit under different themes.
ZERO IN SSM
S.U. Sakıp Sabancı Museum (SSM) is hosting the innovate and dynamic spirit of ZERO, the biggest art network of the 20th century. We face to face with Heinz Mack’s The Sky Over Nine Columns, 2012-2014
MONOCHROME
Italian artist Lucio Fontana opened up new horizons with his Concetti spaziali (1947– 68), a series that includes single-color paintings with slashes that direct attention to the space beyond the picture plane.
POETRY OF PERCEPTION
ARCH122 SPRING 2015
FIRE AND SMO Yves Klein’s Monochromes proved especially influential for artists in the ZERO network. He applied a dense expanse of pigment across the surface and around the edges of his unframed pictures.
Several ZERO artists ex the artistic possibilities t offered by the use of fir are Otto Piene’s works.
VIBRATION The Zero artists searched for ways to arouse a sensation of movement and vibration in order to give fresh life to the static surface of traditional painting, which they regarded as dead. I am following movements of the vibration which are increasing, decreasing and ending. 43

LIGHT Light is a central theme in the work of nearly all artists in the ZERO network.Yellow one is Otto Piene’s Light stream. It has many points which are seem irregular. Your eyes following the points’ wawe movement.
There is a circle that has many object on its surface. It is turning to left. Some objects which are located on edge regions are moving fast and other objects moving slowly or not moving. The general view is objects’ forms are changing everytime. Because of these reasons your eyes want to catch the process
