PROFILE :
I am a passionate designer with a liking to surreal, parametric and futuristic architecture. I posses strong inter-personal communication and work well with groups. I’m competent with most softwares and constantly explore and experiment with various tools.
DESIGN APPROACH :
I normally undertake a top to down approach by studying the existing macro level before analysing how best to approch the design. Problem solving and analysing are my favourite parts of an architectural design.

KODUNGAIYUR GARBAGE DUMP The design brief told us to identify places in close proximity to where we lived so as we are emotionally invested in the design. Kodungaiyur was situated close to two of our member’s house. Further all of us felt that this was a good oppurtunity to further study the way garbage is handled in our city so we felt this was an excellent pick. Approximate waste generated in chennai per day
HOW GARBAGE IS HANDLED IN CHENNAI (ACCORDING TO THE OFFICERS)

CHENNAI IS COMPARITIVELY CLEANER THAN MOST CITIES IN INDIA BUT...
ON OCTOBER, 2019 MANALI 323 AQI
KODUNGAIYUR 290 AQI
That’s more than most places in Delhi and Ahmedabad..
Clean air is a basic human right according to the constitution of India. So why are the people in these regions not allowed to this right?
Out of a survey conducted to 66 people that live close to the dump, a vast array of health problems have been identified. All of these problems are directly tied to the fact that the dump is not properly run.

INTRODUCTION OF POLICIES
GIVE KODUNGAIYUR BACK TO THE PUBLIC...
PHASE - 2
INTRODUCTION OF INFRASTRUCTRE
“AT THE POINT OF COLLECTION, ALL HOUSEHOLD WASTE MUST BE SEGREGATED AND HANDED TO THE CORPORATION WORKERS THAT COLLECT THE GARBAGE” “NO PRIVATISATION OF GARBAGE COLLECTION, TRANSPORT OR HANDLING THE SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT. THE GCC SHOULD BE THE ONE HANDLING IT”
A FACILITY WHERE RECYCLABLE MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE IS PROCESSSED AND SEPERATED USING MANUAL AND MECHANICAL METHODS. THE RECOVERED MATERIALS MAY INCLUDE PAPER, GLASS, PLASTICS, AND METALS, WHICH ARE BALED, TEMPORARILY STORED AND EVENTUALLY SOLD TO RECYCLING OR MANUFACTURING FIRMS
UPSCALING. THE PREVIOUS DEBRIS TO MSAND PLANT AND THE MSW PLANT SHOULD BE UPSCALED TO HANDLE MORE WASTE
ECO BRICKS IS A SUSTAINABLE CONCEPT THAT MAKES USE OF PLASTIC AND SOLID WASTE FROM LANDFILLS AND CONVERTS THEM INTO BRICKS THAT CAN BE USED FOR INTERIOR WALLS AND AS A DECORATIVE ELEMENT. FURTHER STUDIES ARE CURRENTLY BEING CONDUCTED TO BE ABLE TO MAKE EXTERNAL WALLS WITH THESE BRICKS
