Background: Bhimthadi (literally means banks of river Bhima in western Maharashtra). Jatra (means fare). Bhimthadi Jatra is a 3 day event consisting of live performances of folk artists, food stalls, exhibition of variety of articles created by women in western Maharashtra.Bhimthadi Jatra is a happening place full of colors, aromas and sounds to celebrate the living traditions of western Maharashtra. This is a ‘not for profit’ venture and has limited budget. This was a part of the course work. Objective: To create a communication campaign to attract young earning members of the society. Tools used: Water colors, handmade papers, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe photshop.

The content is spread over four volumes- Naipaul’s Children, The Twain, Inside Chutney Palace and Britain Reborn. internship project Title: Creation of a monthly wealth statement for HNI (high net worth individuals) customers. Background: This was a part of 6-week internship in DMA yellow works; Mumbai for their client ICICI Bank .The bank initiated wealth management services as an offering for HNI customers. Objective: 1.Creating a sub-brand for information sharing service of the wealth management offerings. 2.Creation of information packed yet readable and aesthetically appealing statement. Tools used: Adobe in-design Output: A booklet consisting of 18 tables, graphical representation for evaluation of current state vis-Ă -vis the plan, 1 monthly planner and other information.

Process: the agency’s senior designer created colloquial term of “Money Speak”. My challenge was to create a layout of the name as well as the information and to create icons. The information was accompanied with a monthly planner indicating major events and triggers for the month. This presentation had to be consistent with the brand language of the bank. #972A26

about me > Hello
I am Muktai Joshi A final year student of graphic designing at MIT institute of Design, Pune, Maharashtra, India. A few years down the line I aspire to become a design manager who can conceptualize the communication requirements of the client and deliver effective outcomes by following a rigorous design process with the help of Multidisciplinary experts. I believe that becoming a good designer is the first milestone of this journey. I am at my best when I work in a team visualizing new ideas and building on the contribution of the others. I try to integrate the various inputs and remain focused on the end deliverables. I find it very exciting to be a designer in a country like India where Tradition co-exists with modernity. I believe in designing for the masses not just for the classes. At the same time I am keen to absorb the best design practices prevalent in other countries. I had a chance to travel to many places in India and abroad like Singapore, Malaysia, England, Switzerland and Kenya. I realized the importance of user-friendly design in day to day applications like signages, maps etc. You can count on me if you are looking for a design professional who can translate the user requirement into design language , create and help create an effective design solution.
