Message from the House of Ruth Committee

Greetings Brothers,

Mu Lambda sponsored the meal for the ladies at the House of Ruth on Saturday, May 2, 2020. We practiced social distancing and ordered 52 meals from Olive Garden in Bowie. Brother Eddie Neal and I delivered the order to the front door.

The Director of Development for the House of Ruth stated, “It is rare that words fail me --- but your generosity, and that of Mu Lambda, always blows me away. This will be a huge, huge treat. Thank you.” The menu was Lasagna Classico, Chicken Parmigiana, salad, Gnocchi soup, bread sticks, Hostess cupcakes, Klondike bars, coca cola, and water. We also provided the ladies yellow roses and individually wrapped utensils and mints.

We provided a secondary meal in the event the ladies were hungry later in the night. We provided Fettuccine Alfredo and Spaghetti with meat sauce.

The next meal is Saturday, June 6th to be sponsored by Frank King’s team.

Brothers voted for the chapter to sponsor the dinners during the odd months (July 11th, September 5th, and November 7th).

Teams of brothers will sponsor the even months (June 6th (Frank King’s team), August 1st (Tony Wilson’s team), October 10th Tim Fitzgerald’s team), and December 6th (Alvin Reave’s team).
