The President’s Message

Greetings Brothers,

Welcome to the start of our 98th charter year of Brotherhood and Service. It is my honor to serve to the best of my ability as your President for another fraternal year. I am humbled by the trust you Brothers have in me to carry out this awesome responsibility.

As the world starts to emerge ever so slowly, (despite the setbacks), from the ravages of the Covd-19 pandemic I look forward to fellowshipping with you Brothers more in-person, and to provide greater in-person support to the community through the execution of our National Programs and in direct, sweat equity, support of community-based programs where there is a need even if it does not neatly fit into one of the categories of our National Programs.

I am eager to for us to collectively fight against mediocrity wherever we see it, internally or externally, to make for a better existence of us as a Brotherhood and all of humankind. During the fraternal year I am expecting us to be reinvigorated to do the work of Alpha and to do that work where applicable collaboratively with like-minded organizations. I end this message with the words of Jewel Henry Arthur Callis as it eloquently sets the tone for what I would like for us to achieve this and every fraternal year.

“The chief significance of Alpha Phi Alpha lies in its purpose to stimulate, develop, and cement an intelligent, trained leadership in the unending fight for freedom, equality and fraternity. Our task is endless.” — Jewel Henry Arthur Callis, May 1946

Fraternally

Brother John “Tony” Wilson, President Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Mu Lambda Chapter
