Greetings Brothers,
Welcome to the start of the penultimate fraternal year before we celebrate the 100th year of the chartering of our beloved Mu Lambda Chapter. I am again honored and humbled that you Brothers have entrusted me to serve as president of the Chapter for another year. I do not take this responsibility lightly and hope that I continue fulfil yours and my expectations of my performance. Looking ahead to the year I can tell that you Brothers are energized and ready to do the work of Alpha Phi Alpha. We have had two community service project before the fraternal started! I cannot recall the last time that has happened.
We are expanding our service based footprint in the schools of Washington DC and this could not be at a better time as the need seems to increase over time. We have again brought in good quality Brothers which is a hallmark of Mu Lambda – quality matters. We are starting the fraternal year with a higher number of financially active Brothers than last year. And Brothers who are new to the area are coming to Mu Lambda as their next Alpha home. We exceed our reclamation targets as well.
That is a testament to all of you and what you mean to our fraternity and to each other. I would say things are going well in this House of Alpha. Let’s continue to make our chartering Brothers proud as we kickoff year 99!
