LEAD WHERE GOD LEADS Our students are putting their education into practice as they actively pour into the community and serve the people of Portland and around the world.
CONNECT TO A WORLD FULL OF OPPORTUNITIES MU alumni are spread across the globe as they lead ministries, organizations, and nonprofits. Our graduates have served and worked on almost every continent. You’ll be connected to the legacy of MU graduates and tons of amazing opportunities for ministry and work throughout the world.
LOVING OUR NEIGHBORS Once a semester, our students can participate in our school-wide Days of Outreach, where we do everything from picking up trash in our neighborhood, yard work at local elementary school playgrounds, interior painting in churches, serving coffee and hot dogs at transit stations, to assisting elderly neighbors with house projects. In the fall semester, classes are canceled for a half-day to allow all students time to participate, and in the spring semester MU partners with the citywide MLK Day of Service in January.
2019-2020

The MU Athletics Department mission is to bring students, faculty, staff, and alumni “Being a Lion has been welcoming, challenging, and enjoyable. Some of my best friends walked through those gym doors. I will never take for granted the opportunities I have been given through basketball and being here at Multnomah. From traveling the world and the friends I have made in those countries to having people I can rely on and have fun with. Being a Lion is more than just winning games but instead fighting together and pushing each other.” - Bethany George, Women’s Basketball

PRIDE In 2015, Multnomah University became an active member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC). The NAIA oversees sports programs at more than 260 small colleges and universities. The student-athlete is the center of the NAIA experience, and the organization is dedicated to character development. Each year, more than 60,000 student-athletes in the NAIA compete in 13 sports and 23 national championships.
The CCC has evolved into one of the NAIA’s most formidable leagues. It sanctions championship competition for men and women in basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, and track and field, along with baseball and wrestling for men and softball and volleyball for women.
