The first chapter of Tanya and Scott’s love story began when they were introduced by a mutual friend during a barbeque while both were still attending high school. Having so much in common they clicked immediately, and within a few weeks were officially dating. Their high school sweetheart status would be short-lived but the ending was amicable and they happily remained good friends over the next few years.

It would be during another gathering of mutual friends in which Tanya and Scott would once again find themselves together. While enjoying a relaxing houseboat trip for a few days on a beautiful lake, Tanya and Scott realized the former feelings of love and romance were still very much on the surface. Unable to deny their affections for each other, they openly expressed their true feelings to discover they were completely mutual - and from that moment on have remained inseparable ever since.

Following their romantic houseboat reunion, Tanya and Scott were approaching their four year anniversary when, while visiting his family in South Africa, a diamond ring in a jewelry shop window caught Scott’s eye. Unable to picture themselves with anyone else, Scott had already been dreaming about their perfect proposal. Thinking about the ring all night, Scott went back to the jewelry store, purchasing it the very next morning. During the weekend of their four year anniversary, after a day filled with champagne, culinary delights, and a cruise up the Yarra River, Tanya and Scott settled into their royal suite for some relaxation. It was there that Scott turned to Tanya, the other half of his heart, and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him as husband and wife.

Tanya and Scott’s traditional wedding ceremony in Zimbabwe celebrated the coming together of two families, expressed in multiple performances of song and dance.

Their wedding style was culturally elegant with an edge of modernity. Tanya was gorgeous in a custom dress designed by Leah Da Gloria, covered by intricate beaded lace and with a detachable skirt. The bride lit up the aisle as she approached her handsome prince, where they were joined forever together as husband and wife.

Best Memories: "The first look shoot! Seeing each other for the first time fully dressed up on the day was the most personal and private experience we had during the day."

Advice for Engaged Couples: "You will want to try and cut costs by not having a wedding planner, however, a good wedding planner is invaluable and will help settle the nerves in the run-up to the wedding by sorting out all the minor details and last-minute changes as well as organizing all the suppliers on the day so you actually get to enjoy it and take it all in. Find a good one, make sure they are the right fit for you and move onto the rest of the planning - they will be able to help you through it as well which should make the process less stressful."
